In 1998, Bunge set up a trade representative office in China and began to trade agricultural products with Chinese customers. In 2000, Bunge set up an international trading company in Shanghai, China to supply soybeans and other crops to the Chinese market, while also helping Chinese farmers and enterprises export corn and wheat. In 2004, in order to better serve the large number of farmers and enterprises engaged in aquaculture in China, and to better meet the needs of Chinese consumers for edible oil, Bunge began to invest in setting up soybean processing plants. In 2018, Bunge successfully acquired Loders Croklaan, continuing to maintain its leading position in the world as a specialty cooking oil. So far, Bunge China operates six factories, has nearly 1000 employees, and imports about 5 million tons of soybeans and 0.5 million tons of rapeseed each year. Duties and Responsibilities:

Under general supervision from the Chief Compliance Officer, Global Director Ethics, Investigations and Security, a Regional Senior Manager  for GEI, or GEI Manager:

  • Conduct investigations of alleged or suspected violations of criminal law and corporate policies related to ethics and compliance including Asset Misappropriation, Financial Statement Fraud, Bribery & Corruption, Conflicts of Interest, and other areas as directed by management.
  • Gather, review, and analyze data in support of an investigation.
  • Prepare work papers to adequately document investigations performed with supporting evidence for all findings.
  • Conduct informational and confrontational type interviews.
  • Resulting from investigations, assist with the assessment of control weaknesses and root causes.
  • Prepare clear, concise and cohesive investigative reports and memoranda in a timely manner.
  • Maintain case files in the GEI case management system.
  • Assist management with the assessment of conflict of interest disclosures, and brief management on the findings and conclusions.
  • Assist management with gifts and entertainment review requests, and brief management on the findings and conclusions.
  • Assist management with the third party risk management/due diligence investigation program;
  • Assist management in fraud and compliance risk assessment processes.
  • Perform administrative duties, including distribution of compliance information, maintaining compliance documentation and managing compliance-related databases.
  • Coordinate and assist with educational/informational/training sessions for employees and annual certification processes.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by GEI/GEC.





Candidates must have:


  • Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree or commensurate experience.
  • 5 years of related investigative experience.
  • Ability to assess critically evaluate the and advise on ethical decision making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence, credibility and ability to work effectively within the organization and interact with both junior and senior business personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • Experience with global collaboration or project management.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
  • The ability to travel up to 20% the time.
