Position Summary:
Under moderate supervision, partner with facility management and at the direction of the regional human resources manager, position performs professional level HR work to develop, implement, and administer human resources policies, programs, and procedures.  This position will be responsible for employee / labor relations and maintaining a positive employee relations environment.  Position is the first line of HR support for facility management and employees.
 
Core Functions:
•    Support facility management and regional HR manager by providing a full range of Human Resources services including, but not limited to, policy and procedure counsel/ implementation, staffing and selection, performance management, benefits administration, and coaching, training and development of local management and facility personnel.  
•    Interprets various routine HR plans, programs, policies and procedures for employees and provides advice and recommendations to facility management.  Assists in administration of policies and procedures, current state, local and federal regulations and corporate objectives.
•    Maintain an awareness of workforce demographics and operational requirements.  
•    Assist plant HR and/or regional HR leadership in developing strategies to address workforce gaps and surpluses and proactively work to assist in the optimization of talent.
•    Resolves employee problems or issues related to employee relations matters. 
•    Participates in candidate selection process and conducts new employee orientation.
•    Prepares and analyzes reports relating to turnover, headcount, etc. 
•    Maintains confidential employee data or files and prepares and/or analyzes routine reports related to such. 
•    At the direction of Legal and Regional HR manager, assist with investigations related to policy violations, misconduct, or other circumstances that may result in disciplinary action.
•    As directed, assist in responding to grievances, mediations, litigation and other legal affairs affecting Bunge operations.  
•    Maintain HR subject matter expertise through continual self-education and practical application of HR-related initiatives.  
•    May perform responsibilities related to plant operations, including but not limited to safety, and office administration.  
•    Other duties as assigned.
 
Skills/Experience Requirements:
•    High school diploma or equivalent required.  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field strongly preferred. 
•    3+ years of related human resources experience required, preferably in a Union environment.  
•    Ability to maintain objectivity and discretion with confidential information 
•    Exceptional customer service and team building skills  
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization 
•    Previous experience with ADA, FMLA, EEOC and AAP 
•    MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency 
•    Familiarity with ADP and Success Factors systems a plus 
•    Self-starter with the ability to work within a team environment
