Job Title: Supply Chain Digital Transformation Lead        

Reporting Line: BBS Strategy and Transformation Lead

 

Role Purpose Statement:

The Supply Chain Digital Transformation Lead will be the Digital Transformation Planner and Implementor, Digital Savvy Expert, Stakeholder Engagement and Alignment and a Positive Disruptor for the Supply Chain Function and Supply Chain Analytics. This role will also be change management, communication and setting-up service delivery capability for Supply Chain Functional Services and Supply Chain Data Analytics. The role will collaborate with Functional Leadership, the BBS Project Services Lead, the BBS Strategy and Transformation Lead and the Bunge IT during global process design (all aspects of organization, process, policies, technology, performance metrics, governance model and data analytics) for overall functional transformation. This role will also be responsible for continuous improvement and ensuring that BBS-aligned employees serving the function have the guiding principles, tools, and structures in place for functional services.

 

This is a senior and strategic transformation partner role who will shares ownership of functional transformation strategy, value realization and capability building. This role owns executive level relationship and will be the single point of contact in BBS Transformation for Supply Chain. This will be achieved by stimulating, surfacing and shaping needs for functional transformation and data analytics across the pillars of planning, sourcing, making, storing, moving, delivering and customer service.

 

Overview: This role will have 5 main macro-objectives:

1.            Digital Transformation Planner and Implementor: Defining and planning a digital transformation program: working across the supply chain teams defining ideas, concepts and master plans to put in place solutions that drive the significant value and deep impacts across a wide range of stakeholders (covering plan, source, make, move, deliver, and customer service). This leader will act as the transformation catalyst, planner and implementor.

2.            Digital Savvy Expert: This role will be digitally savvy in order to define a solution into a program that drives value realization.

3.            Stakeholders Manager: Change is embedded in transformation, with a significant degree of change that will need to be properly managed. Having sound change management processes and equally robust stakeholder management processes are important.

4.            Positive Disrupter: Consists of challenging the status quo of the organization structures (and its stakeholders) without antagonizing the different responsible leaders (e. g., executives/managers) that are being disrupted.

5.            Data Analytics: set-up supply chain data analytics to measure and report key performance indicator, identify risk areas, improvement opportunities and unlock value.

Main Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of the Supply Chain Digital Transformation Leader include collaboration and cross team coordination of significant change in order to deliver value, supported by new innovative Digital Supply Chain solutions, Core Digital, Intelligent Automation and Data and Analytics foundations through activities executed as the program passes from innovation, to program definition, design, build, deploy and run.  Managing across a portfolio of projects, the 5 key stages lead by the Supply Chain Transformation Leader are:

 

Business Engagement Leadership

•             Functional/ Business Engagement Leadership to define business needs, business case, and investment roadmaps to deliver business value

•             Functional Technology Transformation in collaboration with Bunge IT

•             Define strategic roadmaps and project charters

•             Overall systems solution owner for supply chain capability domains of plan, source, make, deliver, and customer service

•             On point for governance leadership with function/ business

Value identification

•             Analyze the drivers for the transformation and agree objectives

•             Identify the benefits that will result, and the main changes necessary

•             Develop estimates and likely scenarios, create business case

Plan benefits realization

•             Agree ownership and accountability for benefits and changes

•             Analyze baseline, collect benchmarking data and evidence for value realization

•             Validate KPI’s and define critical success factors

•             Finalize measurements of success, produce detailed business case and benefit realization plan

Execute transformation plan and evaluate results

•             Manage change programs, review progress against the benefits plan

•             Take corrective actions necessary to achieve plans

•             Formally assess the benefits achieved, initiate plans to gain outstanding benefits where feasible

•             Identify lessons for other projects

Establish potential for further improvements

•             Identify additional improvements through business changes or further investments

•             Ongoing monitoring of benefits achieved

 

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competencies            

•             Significant experience in driving large, complex transformation, transition, change management and data analytics projects to successful completion, and ability to work in a global environment

•             Deep process and technology transformation, project management and data analytics experience, and demonstrated high attention to detail

•             Change management experience, with multi-functional team management/ collaboration experience

•             Quick to identify risks and collaborate with necessary parties to develop risk mitigation plans

•             Strong relationship management, coaching, and collaboration skills

•             Strong communications and presentation skills, the ability to make the complex, detailed information clear and actionable

•             Strong influence management skills required to gain alignment and commitment to organizational change

•             Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution capability

•             History of successfully delivering results in a global, cross-functional environment

•             Strong business acumen and curiosity

•             Expert understanding of supply chain shared services operating models; experience in a shared services organization

 

Preferred Qualifications

•             Master’s degree or greater in Business/ Computer Science/ Data Sciences/ Supply Chain

•             15+ years of functional experience in the business function/ services

•             7+ years of experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects, based on management objectives

•             Profound understanding of Supply Chain Function and Analytics and how to use change management best practices, disciplines, and technology to achieve business objectives

•             Some consulting experience preferred
