Job Title: Indirect Category lead               


Role Purpose Statement

Conduce strategic sourcing negotiations based on the Procurement sourcing process, to maximize total cost of ownership, considering the high quality and technical standards, providing savings and procurement value contribution to Bunge business in India / Asia

Main Accountabilities   Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

             Participate at Strategic Plan for Corporate categories (Business Administration & Services)

-              Responsible for indirect category management and procurement activities for assigned category (i.e., Travel, HR, Finance, IT,  Legal, Facilities, Office Supplies, Manpower & services & Professional business services)

-              Together with the Senior management, Global & regional Leads, Procurement Head, identify, integrate and realize global and local actions for the categories

-              Ensure integration of purchasing activities of the categories with other functions and operations in BU

Contribute to the Global purchasing network by participating in or assisting global purchasing teams. Share and integrate best practices for the assigned categories.

-              Ensure compliance to achieve TCO savings, risk management and value creation inside BU

-              Work with minimal supervision to pro-actively reduce expenditures and to achieve or exceed targeted cost reductions for the assigned categories

-              Lead savings and contract negotiations within scope of responsibility. Lead and provide guidance to support team for creation of (eRFQ, eRFP, eAuctions, e-sourcing, etc.,)

-              Develop good working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure early involvement in defining requirements, agreeing the procurement route and supplier negotiations.


             Monitor the regional category end-to-end procurement cycle

-              Act as single point of contact for the business to ensure business requirements are met.

-              Work with the business stakeholders for actions related to supplier base optimization, KPI implementation, supply chain optimization and follow up, etc.

-              Conduce spend map analysis to monitor spend and ensure that all purchases follow the purchasing process.

-              Report and Track forecasted vs actual savings for categories in scope: define corrective/optimization actions if needed and follow up on them. Procurement data analysis, price bench marking etc.

             Knowledge, Skills and Experience           

-              8 -12 years’ experience indirect procurement solution

-              Minimum Education Qualification – Engineering Graduation or MBA finance or equivalent.

-              Experience in managing people and processes through a sustained period of change.

-              Ability to partner with corporate, procurement, finance, legal and BBS stakeholders regionally

-              Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, negotiations skills.

-              Strong written & oral communications skills in English. Willingness to travel.
