More on the Production Manager role:
Our new employee will be responsible for the entire manufacturing process for our refinery plant in Bruck a/d Leitha, ensuring the processing of degumming and refine oils including production of by-products like lecithin. We are seeking enthusiastic applicants reporting directly to our Plant Manager, whom you will also replace on occasion when needed.
You will manage the production of the refinery products, in a safe working environment with the responsibility of producing food products according to schedule. Additionally, you train, motivate and hold accountable the employees under your supervision (4 shift-leaders report directly to you, 28 operators indirectly). Furthermore, you will also have the following responsibilities:
- Management and monitoring of the areas of degumming and refining including tank farms, lecithin and the auxiliary equipment required for the processes and provision of products on schedule and with the required quality. Here you will work close together with logistic and sales team to realize customers’ needs in production
- Monitoring and alignment of costs according to budgets; monitoring process key performance indicators and investments;
- Support of maintenance in the organization, monitoring and execution of necessary repairs and maintenance work and searching for the fastest possible elimination of malfunctions.
- Preparation of systematic root cause analyses in case of deviations to initiate corrective and preventive measures and participation in the planning and implementation of projects;

- Build a culture of continuous improvement;
- Participation in audits;
- Monitoring compliance with all regulations for the applicable certifications (quality, environment, energy, kosher, halal, etc.), legal regulations (occupational safety, etc.) and all operational safety regulations;
- Administrative tasks such as remediation and reporting of unsafe situations, documentation of processes (operating, work and procedural instructions, etc.) and creation of permits;
We are looking for different abilities/aspects in our ideal candidate:
- Proven experience in a production environment
- 3+ years of experience in managing or supervising employees
- Education in engineering or a related field
- Willing to work on-call duty as part of the on-call plan
- Proficient in German and advanced English.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
