Position Summary:

This position is responsible for securing supplies and services for facility and providing clerical support.  Also, assisting with purchasing equipment, parts and supplies for maintenance and manufacturing operations, as directed.

 

Core Functions:

  • Create Purchase Orders in SAP
  • Request material numbers for stock parts in SAP
  • Set up and maintain items for automatic order
  • Maintain changes to storeroom materials in SAP as directed
  • Assist employees with locating of items in the storeroom using SAP system and other resources
  • Provide back up support to Shipping/Receiving clerk by unloading trucks with forklift, processing shipments
  • Properly handle discrepancies between orders and receipts
  • Works closely with Accounts Payable to ensure that all purchase orders are entered correctly to facilitate proper invoice processing

Skills and Experience:

  • Basic math skills
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • 1 to 3 years work purchasing and/or inventory control experience within an industrial setting.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems, SAP preferred
  • High energy and positive attitude is a must.
  • Should be familiar with procurement, accounting and maintenance terminology. 
  • Proficient in Excel, Word & SAP.
