Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to provide customer service support to Loders Croklaan customers, both external and internal. Specifically, this position is responsible for overall customer management, including, but not limited to: placing and tracking customer orders, proactive customer contact to follow up on current and/or future orders, customer problem resolution, and overall customer satisfaction.  This position also acts as a liaison between internal departments and external customers.

 

Core Functions:

  • Receives and accurately processes new orders as well as change requests from customers via telephone, e-mail, and/or fax.
  • Works in conjunction with all internal departments to ensure customer products are shipped out in a timely fashion, as well as troubleshoot any potential obstacles and come up with creative solutions for problems that may be encountered.
  • Manages the order process by communicating to the customer information gathered from internal departments regarding the status of their orders including any issues that may arise before, during, and after delivery.

Look at the “Short Ship” report daily and communicate customer delays.

  • Receives inbound calls & place outbound calls regarding customer requirements, complaints, inquires, etc.

Enter CSO’s into UniPoint system for customer complaints.

  • Provides proactive customer service by reaching out to customers to inquire about missing orders each month.
  • Communicates all customer master data changes to the Contract and Systems Coordinator.

Work with Logistics and 3PL’s on truck availability, delivery dates/times, and delayed orders.

Convey detention/layover charges to customers.

  • Utilizes exceptional grammar and cognitive skills for finding issues, errors, and determining and communicating their root cause to internal departments as well as to the customer for quality assurance.
  • Back up other CSR’s when people are out of the office.

 

Skill/Experience Requirements:

  • Associates degree in a business related field
  • 2+ years’ experience in customer service
  • Strong computer skills:  Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, etc. (SAP experience a plus)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with varying priorities at the same time.
  • Must be able to work consistently in a high pressure/ highly visible environment.
  • Coordination between sales, production, and logistics to ensure order accuracy, available product, and on-time deliveries.
  • Ability to problem solve quickly
  • Work in a team environment
  • Must be available to work/be on call some weekends.
  • Able to communicate problems or issues to the Customer Service Manager, as well as provide creative solutions for repeat issues/trends
