Position Summary:

FP&A analyst is responsible for the yearly standard cost setting process, operational controls, inventory counts, plant material variances and transportation variance reporting and analysis.


Core Functions:

  • Performing and reconciling the month end bulk oil physical inventory; ensure compliance to cycle count programs.
  • Monthly forecast – compile, analyze and load to HFM
  • Assist with annual budget for industrial costs and sales volume/margin – includes system load and tie-outs
  • Assist Controlling in month end close (intercompany reconciliations, hedge accounting, rework/spoilage accounting, FIFO/Cost Run and transportation accruals.
  • HFM - Monthly and Quarterly SEC schedules,  Monthly acquisition/PPA results)
  • Reporting & analyzing key operational variances (manufacturing & logistical)
  • Monthly sales / margin analysis by customer and product line
  • Product cost standards (at least annually)
  • Month end reporting (COO, Industrial Operations, KPI & S+OP metrics, flash & bridge reporting to BNA, Commodity position/MTM reporting)
  • Monthly profit estimates 
  • Synergy reporting
  • Assisting in fixed asset management (capex, depreciation, asset tagging)

Skill/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be willing to relocate domestically
  • Microsoft Excel required, SAP and Hyperion helpful
  • Must demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills.  
  • Ability to adapt to new business processes.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must demonstrate strong communication skills in dealing with all levels of staffing within the company
  • Ability to work in a team environment, committed to achieving shared business targets, is required
