Position Summary:
This position will serve as a key team member to the North America Capital Investment team as part of the North American Industrial Operations Finance Partners. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and analyzing capital projects in various stages, supporting the monthly forecasting process, compiling and analyzing data, developing and preparing stakeholder reports and maintaining the capital project database. Role Responsibilities:
• Support the development of monthly and annual capital forecast for North America, communicating with Operations teams, and analyzing the plant forecasts as part of developing a holistic Regional and Value Chain forecast.
• Analyze and reconcile differences between monthly capital forecasts and actual capital results, driving for clear understanding and communication of variances.
• Assist in designing and building reporting packages for internal stakeholders, including compiling data, building reports, analyzing key metrics, providing commentary on key areas, and recommending new KPIs to convey value-adding information
• Perform key activities during month-end including compiling forecasts provided from multiple areas, assisting Capital Investments Manager on timely analysis and follow-up when issues are identified, and assist in ensuring accurate and timely loading of OneStream.
• Maintain and update internal team’s capex database for large projects and key initiatives.
• Assist Capital Investments Manger in developing new process to analyze key initiatives such as Energy and Sustainability, Operations 4.0, and Reliability, bringing transparency and insights to the leaders of those initiatives.
• Perform benchmarking analysis amongst plants, value chains, and project managers to identify strengths and weaknesses in their forecast.
• Assist Capital Investments Manger in historic look back of discretionary projects with comparisons of planned improvements vs. actual results.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, and/or other related disciplines
• 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or business-related role
• Experience in financial analysis preferred
• Excellent writing capabilities to effectively link investment opportunities to strategic priorities
• Expert computer skills, aptitude / proficiency with the Microsoft Suite, SAP, Tableau, and One Stream
• Experience working with cross-functional teams preferred
