POSITION SUMMARY:

This role supports compliance activities throughout North America.  Responsible for timely and accurate day-to-day customs compliance activities, strategic project management, reduce Bunge’s risk when conducting international business, and serve as front line contact for internal customers. This role is a critical link between corporate functions, external service providers and regulatory agencies under which Bunge operates throughout North America.

 

CORE FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide guidance to brokers, freight forwarders, and internal business stakeholders to ensure compliant and timely execution of import and export filings
  • Responsible for import and export data elements for Routed Transactions, FDA Prior Notice, EEI Filings, and any other Partnering Government Agency requirements
  • Amend (as necessary) all EEI filings, along with ensuring the recordkeeping of relevant documents in compliance with 15 CFR Part 30. Evaluate & interpret information to ensure compliance & recommend corrective actions when appropriate.
  • Monitor the compliant execution, release and accounting of imports and exports and related partner agency documentation on the Norther U.S./ Canada border with an emphasis on the supply chain for major production facilities. 
  • Responsible for investigating and when necessary assist in implementing resolution for value chain stakeholders’ concerns to ensure timely and compliant execution of compliance responsibilities.
  • Determine North American regulatory product classifications based on material data sheets, bill of materials, and technical literature
  • Support implementation of trade compliance processes, procedures, and tools by embedding trade compliance requirements as necessary
  • Support the implementation of trade compliance processes/polices, training and tools 
  • Self-starter on audit & identification of errors on export and import documents
  • Help generate North American Metrics and Key performance Indicators to help implement standardization, digitalization, and automation while exemplifying sustainable excellence
  • Support the issuance of e-documentation and the continuance of a digital platform for the issuance of documentation
  • Support the issuance of Free Trade Agreements, Country of Origin Certificates, and other standardized certificates
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • At least three years of experience in a related field 

 

SCHEDULE:

  • Normal office hours, hybrid in office, five days per week
  • Some overtime or weekend duties may be required
  • Limited business travel may be required
