Position Summary:                                                                                            
The Director Global Commercial Excellence provides management and execution of the commercial excellence priorities and initiatives related to sales growth, G2M, commercial processes, tools and capabilities across BLC for sustained impact.  This role directs the transformation program and runs a strict weekly cadence ensuring best practice sharing. Partners with business leads and regions to drive execution of key initiatives. This leader will be a champion for transformation and help develop a differentiated customer centric culture.  Key leader of the Global ComEx workstream reporting to the VP Commercial Excellence.                                                                                                                                                                
Core Functions:                                                                                            
·         Leads cross functional working teams in identifying, planning and execution of commercial excellence initiatives. Facilitates the ComEx management cadence with global regional teams to prioritize, drive and track the key initiatives.                                                                                              
·         Champions global commercial excellence initiatives (e.g., go-to market, commercial performance steering, incentives, etc.) as needed, planning and driving the execution to ensure value delivery                                                                                            
·         Drives the development of commercial growth opportunities by leveraging analytics, acting as translator between (regional) business teams and data scientists.                                                                                            
·         Create and execute rigorous sales operations process management that integrates the coordinated review and execution of the sales pipeline, account opportunities and leads across regions                                                                                             
·         Inspect, coach and enforce the practical utilization of the standard sales metrics and utilize interactive analytics dashboards to generate actionable insights                                                                                             
·         Supports the regions in developing programs and metrics that increase the adoption of the right sales behaviors and outcomes around account planning, pipeline forecasting, win rates, deal velocity, customer retention/churn reduction and strategic account plans and execution                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

Skills/Experience Requirements:                                                                                            
·         MBA in Business a plus                                                                                            
·         Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Strategy                                                                                            
·         Food industry experience in the commodity or ingredients space                                                                                             
·         Minimum 10 years of sales and/or commercial related experience in the Food Industry or consulting/B2B environment                                                                                             
·         Advanced proficiency in the use of Excel, Power Point and MS Office Suite                                                                                            
·         Previous experience of BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Salesforce Lightning) (Proficient)                                                                                            
·         Proven prior experience leading transformation, working with senior sales leaders and management                                                                                             
·         Previous experience in working with data scientists a plus    
·         Proven track record of strategic planning, goal setting, and successful execution in commercial excellence                                                                                            
·         Ability to juggle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously as well as effectively collaborate and communicate across teams and to work in a diverse, fast paced environment                                                                                            
·         Strategic thinker, highly analytical with good problem solving skills with a bias for execution                                                                                            
·         Exceptional ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and shape into recommended actions and strategies                                                                                            
·         An ability to build trust with key stakeholders and relate across a number of commercial and functional areas                                                                                            
·         Proven track record in working in a global, matrixed organization                                                                                            
·         Project management experience related to commercial excellence initiatives seeing them through from planning to execution                                                                                             
·         Demonstrated ability to influence business decisions and outcomes without direct line authority                                                                                            
·         Must be self-motivated, have high level of energy, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Keen ability to present and explain new and complex topics                                                                                            
·         Passion for commercial excellence improvements such as go-to-market, commercial performance steering, incentives, and sales capabilities, etc.                                                                                            
·         Leads others through change and is able to deal with resistance
