Position Summary:

Provide support, assistance, and direction for Bunge's environmental management programs and activities.


Core Functions:

- Support the development and monitoring of environmental management activities (e.g., compliance, EMS implementation, performance metrics improvements, procedures, guidance, etc.).

- Support and drive compliance, continual improvement, and growth objectives throughout the organization.

- Prepare environmental permit applications (e.g., air, wastewater, storm water).

- Coordinate air emission testing

- Prepare emission inventory reports.

- Prepare oil spill prevention plans, facility response plans, and storm water pollution prevention plans.

- Provide environmental training and mentoring to facility employees as needed.

- Coordinate environmental due diligence activities (e.g., Phase I & II ESAs).

- Coordinate with project management, engineering, and plant operations to perform new project reviews for capital and maintenance projects.

- Understanding of environmental regulatory requirements (i.e., CAA, CWA, RCRA, EPCRA, TSCA, etc.) and ability to communicate requirements to facility personnel and corporate management.

- Communicate and negotiate with federal, state, and local environmental agencies.

- Conduct environmental audits of facilities.

- Promote and facilitate environmental sustainability activities.


Skill/Experience Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline is required with a minimum of five years of environmental management experience working with multiple sites in multiple states

- Professional and working knowledge of U.S. federal and state environmental regulations and laws is required.  Some knowledge of Canadian environmental regulations and laws preferred

- PE preferred, other professional environmental certifications desired

- Environmental Management System (EMS) implementation experience

- Professional and working knowledge of wastewater treatment systems and air pollution control equipment.

- Air dispersion modeling experience desired

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong organizational skills

- Must demonstrate initiative and possess the ability to work independently

- Must possess leadership and people management skills

- Fluency in English required

- Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs and ladders, squat, stoop, sit, bend, twist and lift a minimum of 25 lbs


Travel Requirements, if any (please indicate percentage):

- Ability to travel approximately 30%
