Position Summary:

 

Serve as a key resource and driver of the financial performance of the North American B2B Oils business units supporting U.S. and Canada.  Key role in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting.  

 

Essential Functions:

 

Provide the financial information and analysis needed to build the business unit’s effectiveness, profitability and position for growth.  

• Work with business team and functional areas to identify key drivers of the business.  Monitor and report regularly

• Provide analytical support and advice to the business unit’s commercial, trading and operations management teams.

• Assist the business in identifying synergies and other cost opportunities.  Actual reporting as required

• Coordinate planning / budgeting and forecasting for the business unit’s operations.

• Assist in monthly IBP preparation and integration of changes into the business plan

• Provide monthly reporting to management and decision support / performance management information.

 

 Key Job Duties:

 

• Forecasting:

o Maintain monthly forecast files including P&L, balance sheet and working capital forecasts for assigned business divisions / geographies.

o Work closely with senior business unit managers to explain forecast variances and continually improve forecast quality and efficiency.

•Management Reporting:

o Develop and compile monthly B2B management reporting and corresponding MD&A

o Monthly analysis including bridge schedules and performance deck

o Develop clear, concise and insightful financial reporting.

o Quarterly and annual analysis and reporting as required

• Annual Plan:

o In conjunction with VP B2B oils and their Leadership Team, develop the business unit’s annual business plan.

o Complete analysis of risks and opportunities.  

o Prepare reports and analysis on performance against the annual business plan.

• Strategic Planning:

o Collaborate with team on the preparation of strategic plans, profitability analysis and business forecasts on an annual basis, or as assigned.  

o Financial support for major CAPEX projects

• M&A Target Identification and Support:

o As required, assist in development of financial models to support growth opportunities for Bunge’s business in targeted geographies and post-mortum analysis of same 
•Cost Analysis:

o Issue monthly variance reporting and analysis to Sr Management, business team and functional leads.  Support the various departments in understanding, explaining and improving operating and accounting variances.  

o Key participant in quarterly cost meetings.  Evaluate effectiveness of existing standards and propose modifications as necessary. 

• Other:

o Other ad hoc financial analysis as assigned.

 

Skills/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, agricultural economics, and/or a related discipline

• 5 - 7 years of experience

• Very strong computer skills, aptitude / proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• SAP, Hyperion, Tableau and Business Warehouse experience a plus

• Food Ingredient experience and knowledge of Agribusiness a plus

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong work ethic with excellent interpersonal skills
