Position Summary:

Serve as a key resource and driver of the financial performance of Crush business segment, with focus on North America Crush (which includes US & Canada).  Key role in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting. 

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Assist in providing the financial information and analysis needed to build the business unit’s effectiveness, profitability and position for growth. 
  • Assist in providing analytical support and advice to the business unit’s commercial, sales and operations management teams.
  • Coordinate planning / budgeting and forecasting for the business unit’s operations.
  • At the direction of the Sr. Director of Planning and Analysis or of other senior business leaders, provide BNA senior management and BGA segment leaders with the information needed to capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Lead, coordinate and manage IBP meetings, action plans, and deliverables

 

 Key Job Duties:

 

  • Business Analysis:
    • Provide analytical support to the business unit’s commercial, sales, and operations management teams
    • Analyze trends, market data, and opportunities to advise management on key decision to grow and maintain the business 
    • Provide daily decision support to maximize the profitability and performance of the business unit
  • Annual Plan:
    • Coordinate and contribute to the development of the business unit’s annual business plan.
    • At the direction of management, provide analysis of risks and opportunities for designated business unit(s). 
    • Provide analysis and feedback on performance against the annual business plan to senior management.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Coordinate preparation and submission of strategic plans, footprint and/or profitability analysis and business forecasts on an annual basis, or as assigned. 
    • Provide insights for supervisors into long-term challenges and opportunities.
  • Capital Budgeting:
    • Support the Corporate Investment analysis function to develop and analyze financial models to support capital project proposals
    • Contribute to and review project applications for submission to senior management to support investment proposals
    • Conduct portfolio analysis to leverage performing assets and identify underperforming assets
  • M&A Target Identification and Support:
    • At the direction of the Sr. Director, Planning and Analysis, develop financial models to support growth opportunities for Bunge’s business in targeted geographies. 
  • Forecasting:
    • Compile and analyze monthly financial forecasts including P&L, balance sheet and working capital analysis for each of the business units.
    • Maintain and improve the forecast-to-actual reconciliation process; work closely with business unit managers to explain variances and improve forecast quality.
    • Work closely with the commercial and sales team to compile and review the weekly P&L estimate.
  • Management Reporting:
    • Prepare monthly commentary for flash report and performance management package
    • Assist in the development of clear, concise and insightful financial reporting for senior management.
    • Support collection and reporting of Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) and Value Added benefits.
    • Maintain and update OVC dashboard.
  • Cost Analysis:
    • Perform ad hoc cost/benefit analysis as necessary to improve management’s understanding of various industrial processes associated with the business unit’s operations.   
  • Other:

    Skills/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, agricultural economics, and/or a related discipline
  • 5 - 7 seven years of experience in a finance related role with a strong preference for experience in agribusiness and edible oils processing and manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of standard costing and related accounting
  • Very strong computer skills, aptitude / proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • SAP and Hyperion experience a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic with excellent interpersonal skills
