Position Summary:

The Bunge North America, Plant Systems Information Technology team provides direct development and configuration to support SAP users crossing all Bunge operational areas, including Grain, Oilseed Processing/Refined Oil, Oil Packaging and Milling. This job holder will be responsible for requirements gathering, analysis, planning, testing, documentation, training, and support. These responsibilities relate to Bunge’s SAP Logistics transportation functions with implementations of a transportation management system as well as other 3rd party systems.


Core Functions:

Analysis & Requirement Gathering

  • Lead Blueprint workshops during analysis & requirements gathering phase.
  • Provide project estimates in timely fashion to project leadership.
  • Create documentation for blueprinting, functional design specifications, configuration documentation, test cases, SAP process documents, and end user training.

Design & Implementation

  • Responsible for unit testing of any configuration performed either alone or in conjunction with other configuration analysts.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the SAP architecture, operating systems, modules and technologies in order to facilitate solutions.
  • Strong understanding of SAP master data, General understanding of ABAP, SAP Basis functions.
  • Hands-on experience within SAP SD processes (Order Entry, Shipping, Shipment Cost, Delivery, Invoicing, Billing, configuration, troubleshooting) is required. Supports SAP SD, Transportation and Logistics business processes.
  • Design, document and support SAP PI/PO and EDI middleware interfaces between SAP ECC and external systems/business partners utilizing File/FTP, SOAP, HTTP, RFC, JDBC, SOAP and IDoc adapters.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with IT department functional team members as well as business unit users.
  • Work collaboratively with the Global SAP PI/PO team.
  • Being willing and able to provide production support of the developed interfaces.
  • Participate in a variety of IT related projects and initiatives.


Skill/Experience Requirements:

  • Preferred candidate has 3-5 years’ experience in the SAP Logistics and Transportation modules.
  • Vision for interfaces, scalable structure in support of Plant Systems beyond the first project.
  • Must be able to go beyond the typical SAP skill set and have a thorough understanding of how the data resides in the database tables.
  • Qualified candidates will need the ability to come up to speed quickly and work proactively in a team environment with a personal commitment to accuracy and detail.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills are essential.
  • Computer Science Bachelor's degree or equivalent


The following experience/skills are a plus

•         SAP ABAP debug experience

•         SAP IDoc configuration and development experience

•         XML development experience
