Position Overview:
Lead our lipids plant-based business commercial growth in North America and help implement and coordinate our plant-based business strategy in coordination with the Global Plant Based team.
Essential Functions:
• Contribute to the creation, implementation, and updating of the regional North American strategic plan for the achievement of short- and long-term sales and profitability (identify market drivers and trends, regulatory changes, competitive environment, etc.), in the plant based oils channel/market.
• In collaboration with Lipids sales and the protein team, actively manage the new opportunity pipeline to continually grow the business
• Identify target customers in niche markets and sales channels. Prioritizes and sets individual account strategies, in conjunction with regional sales managers, to penetrate new and existing accounts to achieve plant based sales success.
• Help Launch new products / applications in conjunction with R&D, product management, marketing, the global team, product management and supply chain.
• Monitor competitor products, sales, and marketing activities
• Designs and implements regional plant based pricing strategy in coordination with global and regional product management and pricing team based on competitive pricing analysis
• Set annual regional North American plant based sales targets by segment in coordination with local marketing, sales, and product management teams.
• Prepare periodic sales and customer visit reports showing sales volume and potential sales opportunities
• Identify development / training opportunities and needs for self and sales team to better serve the market
• Execution follow-up: Ensure timely shipping and delivery of customer orders
• Develop and manage detailed sales forecasts including volume by product and customer, sales price, gross margin, and gross profit and achieve targets in selected region(s)
• Review and analyze sales performances against plan and determine improvement actions
• Represent the B2B organization at trade association meetings and industry shows to promote plant based oil ingredients.

Skills/Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Technical, Marketing or Business
• 10 years sales experience. Commercial Business Development experience is a plus.
• Plant based exposure and/or exposure to the Dairy industry is a plus
• Strategy and marketing development and implementation experience
• Strong customer development and relationship management skills
• Ingredients and/or specialty ingredients customer relationships/experience
• Market intelligence analysis capability to drive specialty ingredients pricing strategies in different industries
• Customer service focus / experience
• Strong communication skills (verbal, listening and writing)
• Strong organizational skills
• This position will require an estimated 25-50% travel.
