Overview:

Bunge, a leading global agribusiness and food & ingredients company, is looking for a talented and passionate Communications Sr Manager to support our integrated communications program. The successful candidate will assist in driving employee engagement in Bunge’s values, strategy and culture and improve business performance through dynamic, integrated communications.

 

The Bunge Communications Sr Manager will be a part of a global team with colleagues in key operating regions around the world.  This position will be responsible for collaborating with the global and regional teams for all communication activities, with an emphasis on support for the global Food Solutions team.  Duties will include creating engaging content for all channels including portal/intranet, employee app, website and traditional and social media outreach.

                                             

Essential functions:

  • Work closely as part of the communications team to execute our integrated corporate communications program encompassing all internal and external channels
  • Collaborate with Bunge’s value chains and functions to help build Bunge’s brand, support growth initiatives and digital transformation change management program
  • Create written/visual content with a focus on storytelling to encourage stakeholder engagement with Bunge’s corporate strategy, values, activities
  • Build effective partnerships with senior leaders, developing and implementing comprehensive communications plans for their key business initiatives and monitor success
  • Partner with President, Global Food Solutions, to develop and drive internal and external communications plan in support of elevating awareness of the business with external and internal stakeholders
  • Provide support for events
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years work of progressive work experience in internal and external communications, brand communications, or related focus areas; Prior experience in a corporate communications or agency environment strongly preferred
  • Excellent written communications skills with proven reporting/storytelling ability required; Knowledge of Associated Press writing style required.  Writing samples and test required
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization
  • Familiarity with web and intranet content management systems and ability to take photos, do basic photo editing and record video for editorial purposes
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to problem solve, meet deadlines and maintain quality
  • Ability to work independently as well as in teams
  • Experience in agriculture or food-related industry preferred
  • Ability to speak Portuguese or Spanish a plus
  • Approximately 5-10% travel required
