Summary of Position

The Senior Marketing Manager, Ingredients will lead the marketing strategies and initiatives on Bunge Loders Croklaan’s (BLC)  Bakery, Confectionery, Culinary and Nutrition categories for top CPG food manufacturers in North America.   The Ingredients Marketing Manager will work in close partnership with Sales, Technical Service, Product Management and Marketing Insights to develop targeted, insights-driven customer marketing initiatives, including demand generation strategy, product commercialization, and portfolio optimization.

 

Role and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the Sr Marketing Mgr, Ingredients:

  • Partner with Sales to provide product, segment and market expertise as needed to facilitate their success within their customer base and develop actionable Customer Account Plans.
  • Steward deep dive view into customer/channel segments as input into strategic plan process, including product white space identification, and business risk/opportunity within those segments.
  • Co-lead efforts to collaborate with R&D, Insights, and Product Management to identify customer-specific innovation opportunities
  • Lead “battle card” development and strategic planning working with sellers to prepare for concrete X-Sell and White Space opportunities (e.g., value proposition crafting, etc.) identified in planning process
  • Partner with Marketing Communications to develop and execute marketing campaigns for channel coordinating development of content, sales support materials and presentation tools
  • Partner with Sales to design & execute channel specific initiatives, campaigns and tools as needed 
  • Lead development and execution of innovation go-to-market plans

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 10+ years marketing experience managing major brands/categories in a large/complex food business
  • A strong grasp of B2B marketing strategies and tactics
  • Understanding of ingredient category and supply chain
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or Finance; strong analytical skills
  • Preferred: MBA  in Marketing, Bachelors in Engineering or Food Science
