POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for the procurement, supply chain strategies, and risk management for the Western Region of US Corn Milling - to include Crete, Nebraska; Atchison, KS and Red Oak, IA
CORE FUNCTIONS:
· Oversee procurement and origination strategies involving corn and wheat for the Crete, NE; Red Oak, IA and Atchison, Kansas Corn Milling assets
· Lead a small team of merchandisers and accountants that maximize value by procuring milling quality corn from producer partners and elevators on a daily basis
· Lead and execute our Sustainability and Traceability Programs within Bunge Milling for the Western Region
KEY JOB DUTIES:
· Manage and develop grower partnerships and provide best in class customer service
· Work closely with producer partners to maximize our procurement positions, programs and corn quality
· Build out and execute on our sustainability and traceability programs and initiatives
· Manage corn and wheat positions daily to maximize grain commodity variance and enhance total business unit margin opportunities
· Coordinate closely with Commercial and Sales Teams to ensure proper origination strategies for grain commodity variances, and prime product pricing strategies
· Work closely with Operations to manage monthly working capital and quality for corn inventories
· Maintain the daily position and ensure all grain policies are managed appropriately
· Position will work closely with facility elevator managers in determining hours, managing space, and receiving schedules
· Develop forward procurement programs for a variety of different specialty crops including white corn, ngmo corns, and winter wheat
· Responsible for bid management and purchasing strategies
· Communicate with merchandising, sales, and supply chain teams on market conditions, prices, local and regional supply/demand, and other logistical considerations to ensure all parts of the business can make effective decisions
· Annual business plan forecasting
· Work closely with local seed companies to determine best milling quality hybrids and supply for our specialty crop needs

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Business, Finance or an applicable related field
· Minimum 5 years of experience in key and diverse commercial roles preferred
· Understanding of hedging on the Chicago Board of Trade, grain contracting and logistics is required.
· Proven leadership qualities (people and organizational)
· Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment
· Exceptional communication (verbal/written) skills with ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organization
· Proficiency with applicable computer software packages, including Microsoft Office applications
· Excellent customer service and negotiation skills
SCHEDULE:
· Full-time position, hours worked as required to manage business.
· Up to 30% travel required
