What will you be doing as a Trader Mid-Protein Northern Europe?

As a Mid-Protein Trader you play an important role within the European Soft Seed Value Chain distributing and sourcing across our North European key markets.


Your main responsibilities:

In this role you are responsible of relevant Mid Proteins which includes the paper trade. You participate in developing and managing the flows in Northern Europe. In addition you will be in charge of the local commercial profit and loss.


Risk management is also a pivotal task within the position. As a trader for Bunge, you manage the risks and sell with knowledge of the market. Instead of just managing one aspect of the trader profession, you will both trade and market the commodities with a strategic view.


You focus on a smooth and competitive supply chain from origin to destination, maximize service and connectivity with existing customers as well as identifying potential customers. With your experience and understanding of the culture, you can add value to our customer base.

What do we expect from our Trader Northern Europe?

  • Relevant BSc/MSc or equivalent commercial experience;
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Proven ability to manage a complex risk environment;
  • Customer Focus;
  • An agriculture background is essential. Feed sector knowledge is a plus;
  • Knowledge of international logistics and generic contracts;
  • Excellent in English, good German, Russian is a plus; 
  • Located in Hamburg or willing to move;
  • Willing to travel within the scope of the job;
  • An EU passport;
