As an International Key Account Manager Retail (Export and Discount Supermarkets), you are responsible for driving B2C export growth in Western Europe, with as a main priority Germany based discount customers and export business. Not a day will be the same. You will be in daily contact; to discuss our customers continuous needs, negotiate prices, or to co-create innovation or supply chain projects.


Being a true trusted partner internally and externally, you get things done by connecting and cooperating with the right colleagues in our organization, such as our application technical support, trading and sustainability department as well as international sales teams and supply chain and production. Your understanding of your customer’s needs and market trends set you, the teams you work with and our customers up for success.


As a Key Account Manager you’ll have a truly international position and you’ll be able to work closely with a selected group of Key accounts, in which you ensure sustainable growth for export business while managing complexity for supply chain and production. In this ever changing market an entrepreneurial spirit is inevitable to foster change and drive commercial excellence. You identify business development opportunities in upcoming markets, such as organic, plant based and extend the scope from a purely private label driven export to a more balanced sales via added value concepts. You ensure alignment across countries within margarine and bottled oils.

Consumers have never been smarter about their food choices. Within the margerine, frying and culinary segment, they are becoming more adventurous, adopting bolder and more diverse flavors. With consumer trends and regulations constantly evolving, our consumer channel, such as retail, needs a partner they can trust to help develop innovative (Own label) products that address shifting taste, health and sustainability needs.


Within Bunge Loders Croklaan (BLC) we dedicate our expertise to understand and identify consumers needs and collaborate with our channel to help them to choose the right products to balance market demands with product innovation. In the role of Key Account Manager Retail (Export and Discount Supermarkets) you’ll be at the heart of this innovation and cocreation for retail and private label and added value concepts!


What will you bring to the job?


You are a real entrepreneur and able to think at both strategic and operational level. You are eager to understand the functionality our products bring to your account’s applications and creative in bringing innovative solutions to our customers. Of course you are a team player who is able to build a strong internal and external network. You’re result oriented, but have the patience to work on long-term deals. Furthermore you are an exceptional communicator, often recognized as trusted advisor and due to your strong project management skills you’re able to meet targets and deadlines.


Requirements :

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in Business, Food Science, Agri-Culture or related area;
  • You bring at least 5 years of Key Account Management experience in FMCG and have an established network in the world of food ingredients; 
  • Technical understanding of vegetable oils & fats applications is a plus;
  • Fluency in English AND German is required. Knowledge of other European languages is a big plus;
