What you will be doing as a Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer?
The core focus of the CI Engineer activity is to support the constant improvement of productivity, safety results. CAPEX projects.
This will be done through the following activities:
- Making statistical analyses of plant performance and setting new critical metrics by reducing waste and leading productivity projects
- Coach the plant team and employees to improve plant performances as focusing productivity projects, capacity increment, metrics improvement and cost reduction projects
- Leadership for 5S installation among the plant (action log, 5S audits scores, 5S targets)
- Lead of 6sigma Kaizen projects with DMAIC structure
- Eliminating industrial wastes with prober problem solving tools like RCA, fishbone, 5Why
- Facilitate and organize the site’s CI capabilities (Root cause, 5S, Standard Work, Kaizen, Process Mapping, Lean Six Sigma) through coaching and training to enhance the CI culture in the plant in collaboration with the Plant Manager and Market CI lead
- Reviewing the progress of global CI programs
- Focus on processes improvement: analyzing data, creating brainstorming with operators and department managers assigned for improvements (costs decreasing, process improvement, time losses elimination)
- Promote CI culture at plant level
- Install /maintain Bunge management operation system
- Preparing payback calculations for productivity projects
- Performing technical CI training to the plant team
The position is based in Lehliu, it will report to our Plant Manager also located in Lehliu.
What do we expect from our CI Engineer?
- Technical university degree- preferably with a major in Mechanical, Food, Chemical, Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar position for other companies with production activity, preferably in food area
- Understanding of manufacturing process, lean manufacturing knowledge.
- Understanding of Kaizen process, 5S, standard work, six-sigma and Lean Culture and how to apply
- English skills- proficient
- Very good interpersonal skills, cultural awareness
- Excellent presentation skills
- Self-starter personality, with a change oriented approach
- MS Office- intermediate
- Occasional travels
