Purpose of the position

Bunge has a global leadership position in oilseeds crush and feed/food grains value chains and Asia is one of the most critical markets for Bunge for securing the optimal footprints and markets access to maximize the plant capacity utilization, trading and merchandising opportunities and end to end value capture from origins to destination markets.

regional demand is managed through dedicated leaders based in Singapore who are supported by country commercial teams and Regional marketing & trading teams. As our dedicated marketing manager you will be primarily responsible for managing the proteins and corn business in Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, and Taiwan working in close collaboration with the Regional teams.

will be accountable for developing and executing the annual meal/corn marketing plans, execution pipeline management, commercial execution including underlying commodity risk, freight and logistics management and customer execution management and the account management for the assigned customers in these markets.

In this leadership role, you are the #2 on the protein value chain in Singapore!

Main Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute marketing and distribution strategy for the Malaysia and Indonesia market and the tender business in Korea & Taiwan for protein and corn value chains in close collaboration with regional VC leads, global VC teams, freight, and logistics team.
  • Manage overall risks associated with the meal/corn book in these markets, underlying m2m exposure risk on the unexecuted positions, risk management on the open commodity positions (price risk, freight, futures pricing) and pipeline coordination and management with logistics, trade execution, freight, and origination teams
  • Responsible for key account management of customers in Malaysia, Agent relationship for Korea and Taiwan and customers in Indonesia. Directly lead the sales book and key account plan for these customers
  • Build pipeline profitability, merchandising opportunities, freight,, local distribution opportunities and customer solutions earnings
  • Responsible for directly overseeing the business in Korea and Taiwan through external agents
  • Responsible for business intelligence, demand planning, competition activities, import grid updates and regional S&D for Asia in close collaboration with the research team


Skills & experience


  • An industry domain expert with strong experience in large country/regional businesses with min 5 years relevant experience in trading environment
  • Experience in managing Industrial customers in B2B format
  • Strong analytical mind, decisiveness, logical reasoning, and clear communication
  • Strong experience in commodity risk management, freighting, customer execution risk management and global supply chain management
  • Team player
  • Travelling might be required
