Junior Controller

The opportunity to join Bunge as Junior Controller has opened up! In this role, you will be responsible for cost reporting and management of our Neuss site, and will be allocated under the Regional FP&A department. Due to the broad set up and regular interaction with many commercial colleagues and management (local and international), you’ll have a significant impact on the business and a possibility to get great exposure of your work. 

Next to supporting of controlling activities, such as month end and Year-End closing, you will prepare forecasting and budgeting of overhead costs and KPIs. You will have a chance to work on Bunge’s real business cases and ad hoc analysis to support the management in decision making process. 

In other words; you will be our trusted advisor in broader forecasting and execution on financial and business side.

This will be done through the following activities: 

• Identifying process and overheads improvement opportunities, proposing implementation alternatives;
• Creation of reports with relevant key figures in sales controlling;
• Coordinating with other areas of the company to ensure efficient use of financial resources and budget monitoring;
• Interface to financial accounting and other colleagues in the department;
• Proposing countermeasures and following up.

What would your manager like to tell you about the role?

We have been working strongly on transparency, accuracy and reporting, where your ideas on improvement will be welcomed. Although you will have to crunch a lot of numbers and big databases, the fun part will come with the results and conclusions in various interactions (hence, exposure) with numerous stakeholders, including high management.

To achieve that, your communication and financial reporting presentation skills are clear, structured and inclusive with the ability to drive change. Others would describe you as enthusiastic, pro-active, with an entrepreneur spirit and a never-ending willingness to learn!
Additionally, you bring:

• A Bachelor degree in Finance, Business Economics or related area;
• 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in multinationals;
• Excellent Excel, modelling and data analysis skills. SAP knowledge;
• Fluency in German & English language.
