The role


The purpose of the role of Regional Sales specialist is to keep an ongoing dialogue with the customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Generally you are their first point of contact within our organization. Knowing and understanding the strategy and our customers’ needs is key, as they need you to meet their goals!


In this role you are the right hand to the sales managers in your region by: booking sales contracts, making offers, connecting with customers and inspiring them about market trends and coverage momentum. Besides that you handle your own set of customers for reoccurring business, while applying contract administration and execution excellence and forecasting. Your focus is to optimize the potential of our customers and attaining high customer happiness. You can only do this by working closely with other departments in our company, such as customer services, product management, trading, supply chain, quality assurance, sustainability and finance.


This position is carried out from our Walter Rau office in Neuss. You will have a functional reporting line to our Bunge Loders Croklaan headquarters in Zaandam in NL.


Who we are looking for

You are an open communicator, get really enthusiastic about concluding sales deals and are proactive. You would describe yourself as stress tolerant, flexible, pragmatic and accurate in your work. Being a goal-getter who can make decisions, is customer driven and a good negotiator, you enjoy the sales hunt and have commercial ambitions. You’re an extraordinary teammate, who is eager to address hurdles, passionate about team targets and who brings positive energy to the team.




  • Bachelor working level and thinking level. Preferably you have a bachelor diploma in the area of Commerce.
  • 2+ years of working experience in a commercial function.
  • You have affinity and preferably experience with the food & commodity industry (business to business).
  • Fluency in German and English are a requirement. Any other languages are a plus.
  • You have good experience with MS Office. SAP / Salesforce is an advantage.
  • Outstanding administrative, organizational, and planning skills
