The Export Sales Coordinator supports all aspects of the sales process.  Acting as the main point of contact for the established export customer base fielding day to day inquiries, managing SFDC database for sales interactions and providing administrative support for the Export Sales Manager with ultimate goal to meet and exceed sales profitability and growth goals.


Core Functions:

Sales Activities

  • Support the export sales team by maintain relations with customers, agents, distributors and BLC offices worldwide
  • Develop knowledge of the cultural, business, trade agreements and political background of the countries in area of responsibility, combined with market research, to aid in building product portfolio which target the customer base in the specific areas. 
  • Develop and support ESM and business by building knowledge and in depth understanding of country labelling, legal and ethical restrictions in the various countries in which BLC maintains business.
  • Develop strong understanding of customer based and need by building understanding of commodity and foreign exchange markets, and their influence on product prices.
  • Under guidance of Export Sales Manager, provide quoting, coordinate contracting and monitor customer pull providing guidance to customer and ESM on contract position.
  • Liaise with departments within BLC to support customer needs from trouble shooting to solutions.
  • Plan trade shows with ESM, providing insights on best shows to attend, customer base attending and product portfolio which best suits the various markets with goal of generating new opportunities of business.
  • Ensure compliance with all work processes in accordance with Bunge's safety policies, procedures and culture, including but not limited to driving and customer on-site trials.

Communication and Administration Activities

  • Under guidance of Export Sales Manager, manage sales accounts using CRM tool.
  • Manage accounts buying habits through forecasting in BLC forecasting tool
  • Develop and analyze reporting for Export Sales Manager to provide management reporting for territory. 
  • Make use of software to analyze international trade flows and use of Social Selling techniques via various social media applications such as Linked In.


Skill/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor or MBA in Food Science, Business or related industry
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Export Food Industry or related B2B environment
  • Previous experience of BI tools (e.g. Tableau, reporting
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Language skills are an asset
  • Passion for selling and building marketing leading customer experience
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate across teams and to work in a diverse, fast paced environment
  • Creative thinker and problem solver with a bias towards thoughtful action
  • Exceptional ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and shape into recommended actions and strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence business decisions and outcomes without direct line authority.
  • Must be self-motivated, have high level of energy, and able to plan/develop strategies that support the goals of the business plan.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
