Overview:
Lead Bunge’s efforts to profitably grow with major broadline distributors, regional chains, and other distribution customers in the assigned region by working closely with your teammates to prospect, target, and develop new value added customer opportunities.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Be a catalyst for the change required to meet Bunge’s strategic objectives in the broadline foodservice and bakery distribution markets
  • Continually prospect and develop new opportunities to grow Bunge’s market share
  • Support the existing business while growing margin and sales volume of distributor value-added and Bunge brands with key broadline and other distribution customers
  • Develop new business of Bunge brands with scaled operators / regional chains (Top 150-500) in accordance with our distribution strategies
  • Develop relationships with the customer’s key regional leaders in procurement, marketing and product development at both distributors and multi-unit regional operators
  • Drive customer focus by being the voice of your customers within the broader Bunge organization
  • Manage the tactical activities of Bunge’s broker network in the assigned region with a focus on commanding mind share and focus on Bunge’s growth agenda. 
  • Execute the distribution promotion and marketing activities as defined by Corporate Accounts and the Director of Sales - Foodservice
  • Perform both prospecting and account management tasks such as customer insight gathering, price intelligence, forecasting, customer development planning, customer service delivery, and contract / price management among others

 

Skill/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred; 4-8 years of foodservice sales experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers, senior management, peers, and subordinates
  • Experience operating in a cross functional organization
  • Experience managing a foodservice broker and driving value added sales focus
  • Strong customer knowledge and relationships across the assigned region
  • Experience managing a portfolio of products ranging from basic staple commodities to specialty value-added
  • Strong proficiency in office productivity and CRM software
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong teamwork

 

*Ideal work location includes Indianapolis or Illinois.
