Role Purpose Statement 


The purpose of the role is to grow the footprint of BLC products in Asia Pacific and ensure customer satisfaction liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Main Accountabilities 


Culinary Industrial Business development

  • Lead the expansion of APAC business with Food Service and Retail customers
  • Work with Global Customer team to service Key Customers in APAC and develop new opportunities with them, e.g. McD Asia, on soft seed oil pricing and flow management
  • Manage soft seed oil sourcing from Origins and selected third-party suppliers
  • Business travel to meet customers and attend trade events, exhibitions for new leads and turn them into sales
  • Reach out to existing clients actively for contract renewal
  • Discuss contract terms and conditions with customers
  • Take full responsibility on sales margin, incl. analyzing and presenting to regional leadership
  • Lead the 2025 Accelerate Initiatives on industrial, e.g. white space opportunities, incl. Comex meetings participation
  • Liaise with origin teams for new product development, customer product approval, spec matching, sampling, and pricing
  • Liaise with treasury department to set up trading limits for new customers
  • Manage commercial agent business development and sales activities


Culinary All Sales Channels and Bakery (Food Service) Pricing

  • Responsible the pricing for edible oils (industrial, food service, retail) and whip topping, to facilitate contract bookings while maximizing profit margin, together with another team member.


Market Analysis

  • Generate market insights by monitoring market movements, reading internal reports and talking to trading team
  • Provide market insights to rest of commercial team and external customers


Commercial Reporting and Operation

  • Perform commercial analysis and maintain commercial records, e.g. forecast, action plan, sales channel, commercial reporting, Salesforce
  • Responsible for financial result reporting to leadership, incl. monthly comments, periodic business review
  • Responsible for commercial forecast and budgeting
  • Manage contract execution with operations team to ensure customer satisfaction, e.g. logistics, freight rates, payments
  • Mange customer complaints with internal and external stakeholders





  • 2-3 years of experience in a commercial customer facing function, ideally in Oils and Fats industry
  • Bachelor’s degree, with technical knowledge preferred eg. food science education
  • Entrepreneurial with strong customer ownership & troubleshooting mind-set
  • Ability to meet targets and deadlines
  • Good data analytical skill with strength in Microsoft Excel
  • Good communicator as strong liaison role between origin and destination
  • Any proficiency in one Asia language eg. Chinese, Barhasa, Korean. Strong proficiency in English
