Position Summary:

The Senior Corporate Paralegal (“Paralegal”) will support the Bunge Management Services Inc., (“BMSI”) legal department.  In that role, the Paralegal will support corporate secretarial functions, entity management and contract management.  The Paralegal will collaborate with, actively engage and constructively partner with other lawyers and professional staff in other functions with respect to these matters.


Core Functions:

  • Assist the Corporate Secretary in administering and managing Bunge Limited and Bermuda subsidiary records, including organizational documents, minutes, annual and periodic officer appointments, stock transfer records and other documents;
  • Respond to internal and external (KYC) requests for corporate documents and coordinate with responsible treasury and legal contact to ensure requests are addressed in a timely manner; handle requests for apostilles/consularizations;

  • Assist with a variety of transactional projects and internal requests, including coordinating closing documentation requirements for financing arrangements, M&A and corporte restructurings

  • Support contract management activities, including obtaining signatures for Bunge Limited and subsidiaries, ensuring proper legal review and internal approvals have been obtained; uploading executed contracts to Ariba or other contract management database. 

    Assist with matter creation, review and administration and follow-up questions regarding outside counsel fees submitted in Legal Tracker system 

    Participate in and support legal department initiatives aimed at streamlining legal processes and policies, including contract management and legal entity management;

    Reinforce organizational initiatives designed to reduce costs by adhering to and promoting applicable policies issued as part of the global competitiveness program



Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree from a four-year college or university preferred and paralegal certification;
  • 6 - 8 years of hands-on experience in corporate paralegal capacity
  • Experience administering corporate entity, contracts and legal administration databases (experience with Ariba contract administration and Thomsen Reuters Legal Tracker and CSC Entity Management a plus).
  • Corporate in-house legal experience working closely with or supporting attorneys or legal departments;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems, including Word, Excel and Power point required
