Position Summary:

The Senior Cyber Threat Defense Operations Engineer serves as the subject matter expert for the core suite of global cyber security tools (systems) used by Bunge Ltd.  In this non-supervisory role the individual will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who is responsible to the Director, CTDO for the operation and maintenance of all global cyber defense technologies that serve to protect the confidentiality, integrity and security management of business and employee information and systems.  The primary function for which performance will be measured is system availability and system efficiency.   The Sr. Engineer position is an operational support position that will be responsible to ensure the availability of and effective operation for all global CTDO tools used by CTDO analysts.    The employee in this position will be expected to perform structured and unstructured tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, and operation of all global tools specifically:  SPLUNK, SPLUNK ES, CarbonBlack Protect (CBp), CarbonBlack Response (CBr) Fidelis XPS, Encase, to specifically include Encase SAFE servers, Encase Forensics, Encase Endpoint protection.  While this list reflects the current core global tools, it is not limited.    In the position of Sr. CTDO Engineer, there is an expectation to manage the systems and to support strategic technology assessments or initiatives.  The candidate should have significant, demonstrated skills in TCP/IP protocols, Computer Systems or Information Systems design.  Windows and Linux system administration skills.   

 

Core Functions:

  • Serve as technical expert and manage the lifecycle of global CTDO tools and systems worldwide.
  • Maintain all global systems to peak efficiency and effectiveness to include conducting updates to applications, enhancing capabilities, coordinating and managing updates to operating systems, and managing the hardware lifecycle refresh in coordination with CTDO manager.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of system performance, degradation, loss or outage for all global CTDO tools and develop corrective course of action plans.
  • Implement, configure, and optimize the detection and reporting capabilities of company’s security tool suite.
  • Provide basic familiarization training to CTDO analysts for all tools, changes to tools or new tools that are used by CTDO
  • Support, when tasked by CTDO manager incident response activities and cyber event investigations.
  • Support Global Security Architecture as subject matter expert in the area of Cyber Security technologies.
  • Coordinate with regional security representatives for major architecture or topology changes that may impact the visibility, performance or effectiveness of Global CTDO tools.

 

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • 7+ years of cumulative experience in Cyber Security, SOC operations, Systems Administration and Security tool integration & operations is required.
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business administration or a related field is required.
  • Should have one or more of certifications such as, GSEC, GCIA, CEH. CISCO
  • Scripting knowledge in Perl, PHP, ASP or Java with recent and basic programming experience
  • 4+ years direct experience with Splunk, FIdelis, Firewall and IDS/IPS technologies.
