BUNGE has an exciting opportunity available for a Junior Trader. This dynamic position will get you involved in different activities related to a Commodity Trading Desk, Contract Desk administration and Commercial / Merchandising of agricultural commodities.

Note: you are ideally located in Saint Nazaire (France) to obtain this job, however, we will also consider relocations.

 

 

 

More on the Junior Trader role:

 

  • Negotiating protein and oil for local and export market, contacting brokers, negotiating prices, analyzing the market and looking for new clients, carrying out the company's negotiations with the foreign market and seeking to increase results.
  • Assessing business risk, checking the right time to buy or sell by constantly analyzing crush margins, current and future markets and their trends, including aligning prices with market supply and demand.
  • Seeking to minimize and control business risk through hedging operations and other financial modalities in purchases or sales.
  • Maintaining a close work with the business areas that support the trading desk's decisions, with a focus on the logistics area, seeking assertiveness in the decisions made, mitigating risks and minimizing errors, accounting for the margin obtained from operations.
  • Supplying to the management of logistical flows and monitoring of optimum stocks of raw materials and products.
  • Carrying out related actions with existing market players and potential customers, with the aim of building loyalty, establishing long-term partnerships and strengthening contacts between the people involved in negotiations.
  • Communicating opportunities identified by clients and the market that could result in new business for the company or add value to existing business.
  • Keeping tabs on market trends, involving producers, competitors and any agents that may influence the market, in order to provide information to support decision-making and business planning.
  • Participating in periodic meetings to position future actions in negotiations, with scenarios, projections, what may change in the market, among others.
  • Prospecting new market players who can do business with the company, identifying, contacting, visiting, registering, addressing the company and developing relationships to generate future business.

 

 

We are looking for different skills in our ideal candidate:

 

  • Master in similar field.
  • English & French, other European language would be a plus.
  • Strong communications skills, motivation and flexibility.
  • +/- two years of experience.
