Are you the person who can build the supply plan for our specialties factory in Wormerveer (Zaandam)? Do you have a few years of experience in supply chain or a similar role? The purpose of this role is to ensure that the commitments to our customers are delivered on time in the most efficient way. The Supply Planner will create and execute the mid- and long-term supply plan for our production facility which consist of a fractionation, refinery and packaging plant. This supply plan involves all production lines and groups relevant to the business. As a supply planner you need to make sure that the plan is aligned with all stakeholders. In this dynamic role you manage both product availability and delivery reliability whilst serving as a point of escalation for sales and operations. You prepare and drive weekly and monthly review meetings in which you align demand against our capabilities, capacities and supply pipeline. Also, you serve as the main interface of the Wormerveer plant within the supply chain organization in general. You are the first point of contact for production, sales, product management, logistics, finance and quality. 

Furthermore, as the planning delegate you will join and own strategic projects and meetings. Moreover, you will drive continuous improvement within the supply planning process.

 

You will report to the Supply Chain Manager Netherlands and will be based in Zaandam.

The best part of this job is that you are the spider in the web of the tactical operation for our Wormerveer factory. This plant itself has an important footprint within the strategy of Bunge Loders Croklaan which makes this role very significant. You can really drive business impact across the total end-to-end spectrum. Due to the dynamics of this business the job is very hands on but at the same time it really requires a person with great conceptual capabilities to drive and improve the process. 

What we expect from you

  • Completed engineering or business studies or completed commercial / technical studies. Or vocational training followed by several years of proven professional experience in the supply chain;
  • Knowledge of S&OP, production planning or supply network planning;
  • Very good understanding of production and operating processes;
  • Experience in an industrial production environment, preferably in the food, chemical or pharmaceutical industry;
  • Well versed in international project work;
  • Very good user knowledge of ERP systems (SAP);
  • Confident handling of Office applications, especially Excel;
  • Proficiency in both Dutch as well as English is mandatory.

You are an analytical thinker but can also put theory to practice. In general you have affinity with numbers and a strong sense of priorities and escalation. You enjoy engaging with different stakeholders to solve complex or time sensitive problems. As a person you are pro-active, curious, flexible and persistent. Working independently suits you, but you also have the ability to work in a team.
