A Day in the Life:

This role will focus on developing a key strategic growth area within Bunge by accelerating new low-CI carbon markets, developing offset projects, and quantifying carbon benefits of regenerative agriculture.


 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Build and understand workings, identify drivers, and run scenario analyses of different GHG/ Carbon models, such as the Global Trade Analysis Project (“GTAP”), suite of GREET models, and carbon sequestration & offset models.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis to determine the impact of agricultural practices on global emissions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully implement world-class modeling solutions.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on your findings to help guide strategic decision-making.
  • Craft comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Proactively track latest trends and advancements in modeling technologies and practices.
  • Oversee execution of carbon modeling projects, strictly adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Develop relationships with regulators, government agencies, consultants, and academic community relevant to certification and GHG emission modeling and standards
  • Coordinate with commercial partners to develop narrative strategy and data evidence for biofuel pathway applications.
  • Lead presentations with regional commercial teams to share insights and ensure standard modelling practices across Bunge’s global business 

 

 

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Environmental Science, Statistical Analysis, or a related field, or equivalent experience;
  • A proven track record in developing and working with GTAP,  GHGe models, or similar economic/environmental analytical models;
  • Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets;
  • Strong proficiency in modeling software and tools;
  • Excellent communication,  written and verbal, to convey technical information;
  • English Portuguese and required;
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deliverables simultaneously;
  • Strong project management and facilitation skills;
  • Strong attention to detail required with the ability to work with confidential information;
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment;
  • A dedication to sustainability and a drive for driving positive environmental change.
