Sr. Data Scientist (Pricing)

Role Purpose Statement

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Scientist with strong expertise in machine learning and statistics to join our growing team. As Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for driving the construction of machine learning models to solve business problems, communicate to the technical team, and assure the delivery matches business expectations. You will also be responsible for working with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data analytics initiatives.

Main Accountabilities

• Design, create, test, and implement complex models and algorithms that drive analytical solutions throughout the organization.
• Gives technical support for data scientists.
• Collaborate with business analyst and understand business problems to implement scalable and sustainable solutions.
• Define development standards and solution approach.
• Design and structure reusable codebase
• Communicates the design, functioning and output of the analytical models/solutions developed
• Ensure timely analysis and testing for regular maintenance of solutions over time
• Communicate data insights to stakeholders.

Knowledge and Skills

• Proficient in data science, experimentation, machine learning, Python, SQL, data analysis, analytical skills, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Expert in programming in Python.
• Advanced knowledge in math, analytics and computer science, knowledge of machine learning methods, statistical models, advanced data science programming.
• Strong expertise in cloud-based data and machine learning platforms, designing scalable, secure, and production-ready analytical solutions.
• Develop and manage end-to-end ML pipelines, including data ingestioan, feature engineering, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring. Establish MLOps best practices, including model versioning, experiment tracking, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and governance standards for machine learning solutions.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or a related quantitative field. A master’s degree in a relevant field is considered a plus.
• 3+ years of proven experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistical Modeling, and Advanced Analytics, with strong proficiency in Python, SQL, cloud technologies, and MLOps practices. Experience delivering scalable, production-grade solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good understanding of software development best practice, and ability to apply that to machine learning projects, including unit tests, CI/CD integration. 

• Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform. 

• Experience implementing Kubernetes and Docker (or similar container engine) solutions 

• Obtained Google Cloud Professional certifications in area such as MLE, data engineer, DevOps engineer.  

• Experience working with customer analytics, econometrics and pricing optimization, domain knowledge in global agri-business and ag-commodity market is a plus.
