General Manager - OLLECO Bunge

As a General Manager based in the Netherlands, you will be responsible for the Olleco Bunge depot in Amsterdam.  In this role, you will be a fundamental part of our team, allowing us to continue our mission to serve the planet, a cause we care deeply about and are committed to. 

This position requires multi discipline experience and an entrepreneurial spirit, the successful candidate must not be afraid to roll their sleeves up and get involved in every aspect of the business.  They will need to bring some experience in planning, coordinating and supervising multi drop deliveries.  The location currently has 5 OllecoBunge drivers and support staff including warehousing.  They will also need to bring experience of building a business and increasing market share in a competitive environment overseeing a sales team of 3.

In our business - 'safety comes first!' and therefore a strong safety mindset is important.  Experience in the waste or recycling management sector would also be a big plus.

A little more about you:

• You speak and write Dutch and English at a high level;
• Ideally, you are located near our office in Diemen (Verrijn Stuartweg 95, Diemen) and you are willing to travel occasionally to our other office in Oud Gastel (Standerdmolen 8a, North Brabant) should they need support;
• As an effective people manager, you develop your team and succession plan to increase employee involvement and retention. 
• In this role you will have a team of two direct reports to start with, sales and operations but the team will grow in numbers as the business develops;
• Previous experience in (road) transport, asset management and customer supply, preferably in the waste sector and\or multi drop delivery;
• Previous experience of growing a business organically via multiple channels
• Willingness and experience with weekly reporting, using customer data to spot opportunities and increase efficiencies;
• Demonstrable experience in delivering results within a commercial/logistics role.

A little more about the responsibilities of the person in this role:

• Support the depot based Sales Manager on all growth projects and work closely together to develop a strong foundation for the future. 
• Stimulate growth by increasing Olleco Bunge's market share in the Netherlands through organic growth utilising multiple channels;
• Develop and implement strong and efficient logistics processes allowing the business to grow without limitations;
• Ensuring that we provide the best possible service to our customers, enabling the company to deliver an unparalleled customer experience in the region;
• Ensure that transport, collection and delivery costs are kept to a minimum and that the depot operates as efficiently as possible;
• Continue to develop the business. Create more opportunities through the use and development of USPs;
• Increase and improve the retention of staff and management through talent & succession planning.
