BUNGE has a new vacancy as a Refinery Manager in our Amsterdam Soy Crush Plant. In this role, you will follow main indicators of performance and efficiency of the industrial operations. Manage and lead a team of refinery staff, fostering a safe and collaborative work environment Identifies the main opportunities of improvement, leading the actions to achieve these opportunities.

What you will do?

  • Oversee daily operations of the oil refinery, ensuring efficiency and production KPIs.
  • Lead a team of refinery staff, fostering a safety and teamwork.
  • Develop process trainings content and follow u sheets and train staff.
  • Implement and maintain strict quality control procedures to ensure product standards are met.
  • Monitor and optimize refinery processes to maximize yield and minimize waste.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement ways to improve the performance of the production process.
  • Contribute to the process of continuous improvement to reduce production losses and increase efficiency of the line.
  • Ensure process safety and product compliance. Monitor and ensure safety and compliance conditions: process, regulations, quality, food safety, process inventory.
  • Draft procedures, operating procedures, and instructions.
  • Participate in projects defined by Bunge’s Continuous Improvement Function (BPS, BMOS).

     

Experience and knowledge:

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in industrial engineering, Process Engineering, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Technical Business studies or related area;
  • We encourage starters and experienced Refinery Managers to apply.
  • Fluent in English. 
  • Solid Knowledge of the process and methodologies of analysis.
  • Strong people-oriented leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • A desire to continually upgrade technical knowledge.
  • Excited about trying new solutions.
  • Embraces a culture of trust and complete transparency.
