Trader - Sugar Origination

Main Accountabilities

1. Origination and book management
   1. Responsible for the origination strategy and book management of the Thai White sugar book
   2. Devise origination strategy to ensure Bunge's optimal positioning for Thai physical sugars
   3. Liaise with Singapore and Rotterdam office to communicate origination strategy
   4. Identify key millers for long term partnerships / preferential access and adjust strategy accordingly
   5. Determine additional value of millers flexibility / quality / loading ports and price accordingly
   6. Track OTC pricing behaviour / TFS financing opportunities to maximize origination margin

2. Shipment Allocations and Physical Position reporting
   1. Liaise with execution team on the correct allocations for shipment nominations
   2. Keep track of pricing orders and communicating with hedge desk
   3. Develop knowledge on the characteristics of the various Thai suppliers and shippers, including ports used, quality, logistics flexibility 
   4. Execute optimal allocation and shipment strategy 

3. Supply & Demand monitoring
   1. Forecasting of crop and split between raws/whites and remelt
   2. Remelt economics
   3. Contibute to the SND
   4. Keep track of export data for whites and raws 
   5. Conduct crop surveys 

Requirement :

1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/ Trading/ Finance or related fields
2. Minimum 6 to 7 years of relevant experience as Trader in Sugar in Thailand
3. Able to build trust and rapport with internal and external customers
4. Proven track record
5. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and an ability to develop strong relationship
6. Cultural sensitivity and ability to manage across cultures
7. Excellent communication and leadership skills
8. Ability to communicate in local Asian language will be a plus
