Previous Role

 

The position is accountable to handle the financial planning and analysis IC role reporting to manager or senior manager includes consolidation and analysis, forecasting and budgeting, variance analysis and monthly financial reporting.

 

Main Accountabilities

 

  • Sound understanding of corporate financial statement’s & reporting schedules as well as cross linkages between the financial numbers with the key business performance drivers. 
  • Provides complex financial analysis for businesses, typically exercising a strong understanding of the business to help in determining the best methods for achieving larger objectives.
  • Create Country wise analysis of the financial statements, derive & share EBIT value on monthly basis
  • Extract financial/non-financial data from SAP/Tableu/BW/Onestream & other tools and convert them into the meaningful reports, helpful in taking business decisions.
  • Consolidate multiple input data files, tables, graphs (e.g. tables on F&I business drivers, commercial P&L, prices assumptions, P&L and balance sheet and SG&A schedule forecast etc.) & convert them into a meaningful output document, provide commentaries on SGA cost.
  • Good exposure of budgeting process and comments on variance analysis with the actuals
  • Prepare some on demand /ad-hoc reports requested by the business partners. 
  • Perform the first level quality checks on the deliverables in scope of work.
  • Consults with business partners to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.
  •  Support business initiatives, typically leading analysts across multiple sub-functions within finance. 
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engages in the design.
  • Support the business unit during cross-regional or cross- functional planning processes. 
  • Create PowerPoint presentations with needful tables and graphs as management summary. 
  • Support the Lean/Six Initiatives & work on the Continuous Improvement projects, as required.

Work involves the Geneva consolidation and reporting which is a very critical role and liaise with FP partners.

Knowledge and Technical Competencies

  • Knowledge of SAP, OneStream, BW, and BI
  • Eye for details and the ability to view the financial statements from a Financial Controller’s standpoint.
  • Ability to partner with key stakeholders to optimize processes across the domain
  • Multitasking

 

Education/Experience

  •  6+ years of work experience in a similar role 
  •  Experience in Agribusiness/Commodity trading industry preferred  
  • Minimum Education Qualification – CA/CPA/CFA/ACCA/MBA( from Reputed Institute). Additional certification in US GAAP or IFRS will be an advantage Experience of shared service organization.
  •  Knowledge of BI( Business Intelligence) tools would be added advantage. 
  • Ability to partner with key stakeholders to optimize processes across the domain. 
  • Ability to collaborate with the respective business/service functions supporting SSC vision and mission.
  • Strong written & oral communications skills in English. Knowledge of Asian or European languages added advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving & organization skills
