Role Purpose Statement:
The Cloud Platform Manager is a critical leadership role within Bunge's Global IT organization. You will lead and inspire a team of talented cloud engineers responsible for building, operating, and continuously evolving Bunge's next-generation Cloud Platform. This platform serves as the foundation for enterprise applications, data, AI, and digital capabilities, enabling secure, scalable, and reliable technology solutions across the company.
In this role, you will drive the adoption of cloud engineering best practices, platform automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and platform-as-a-product principles. You will empower application and product teams through self-service capabilities, standardized cloud services, and reusable engineering patterns that accelerate innovation while maintaining governance, security, operational excellence, and cost efficiency.
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and a passion for building high-performing engineering teams. You will navigate the challenges of a complex global environment while capitalizing on opportunities to leverage modern cloud technologies, automation, and engineering practices to transform Bunge's technology landscape and support its cloud-first strategy. This position plays a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, security, and continuous improvement of the enterprise cloud platform that powers Bunge's digital transformation initiatives.
Main Accountabilities:
- Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development guidance to a team of Cloud Engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation, operational excellence, and continuous learning.
- Build and sustain a high-performing engineering organization focused on delivering secure, reliable, and scalable cloud platform capabilities.
- Promote engineering best practices, technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the team.
- Develop and Execute Cloud Platform Strategy
- Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to define and execute the long-term vision and roadmap for Bunge's Cloud Platform.
- Drive adoption of Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Platform-as-a-Product principles.
- Ensure platform investments align with Bunge's cloud-first strategy, business objectives, security requirements, and operational goals.
- Oversee Platform Architecture and Engineering
- Lead the design, development, implementation, and continuous evolution of secure, scalable, resilient, and reusable cloud platform services.
- Establish and enforce cloud engineering standards, reference architectures, automation patterns, and operational best practices.
- Guide technical decisions related to cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, observability, container platforms, developer tooling, and platform services.
- Ensure Security, Governance, and Compliance
- Implement and enforce cloud governance, security, identity, compliance, and operational policies across platform environments.
- Partner with Architecture, Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure cloud services meet internal and external requirements.
- Drive security-by-design and automation-first approaches to cloud platform operations
- Manage Platform Reliability, Operations, and Optimization
- Continuously improve platform reliability, availability, performance, scalability, and resiliency.
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Drive FinOps practices and optimization strategies to maximize platform efficiency and cloud cost effectiveness
- Establish and track operational KPIs, SLOs, SLIs, and service health metrics.

- Build strong relationships with application teams, product teams, enterprise architecture, security, infrastructure, and business technology stakeholders.
- Enable application teams through self-service platform capabilities, reusable patterns, and standardized cloud services.
- Partner with Product Owners and Delivery Leads to prioritize platform investments and engineering outcomes.
Stay Current with Industry Trends - Research, evaluate, and adopt emerging cloud technologies, engineering practices, automation capabilities, and platform engineering trends.
- Promote innovation through experimentation, continuous learning, and adoption of modern cloud-native capabilities.
- Recommend and implement solutions that improve developer productivity, operational excellence, platform reliability, and business agility.
