Role Purpose Statement

The Manager – Trade Execution is accountable for endtoend ownership of trade execution and settlement for assigned commodities and regions, ensuring safe, compliant, timely, and economically optimal execution of global trade flows.

This role operates as a valueprotecting execution leader, balancing speed, control, and cost while leading teams, managing complexity across stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement, automation, and operating model maturity within Global Trade Execution.

Main Accountabilities

1. EndtoEnd Trade Execution Ownership

  • Own the full trade execution lifecycle including nomination, vessel execution, documentation alignment, settlement, and washouts
  • Ensure execution aligns with contractual terms, commercial intent, and financial controls
  • Proactively identify and mitigate execution risks impacting margin, cash cycle, or compliance

2. Vessel, Execution & Compliance Governance

  • Lead execution planning including vessel selection, screening, nomination, and compliance approvals
  • Ensure adherence to Bunge global compliance standards, charterparty terms, and counterparty requirements
  • Govern execution performance through disciplined event tracking, issue resolution, and escalation

3. Settlement, Cash Cycle & Financial Discipline

  • Ensure timely and accurate execution and settlement of purchase / sales contracts in SAP
  • Partner with Finance to :
  1. Reduce aging and disputes
  2. Resolve accruals, debit / credit notes, and monthend close issues
  3. Actively support cash cycle reduction and auditready execution across flows

Stakeholder & Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted execution partner to Trading, Freight, Origin, Finance, Accounting, and Compliance
  • Provide clear execution insights, risks, and recommendations to business teams
  • Own execution communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure predictability and trust

 People Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead and develop a highperforming execution team, driving:
  • Clear accountability
  • Skill development
  • Engagement and retention
  • Manage workload distribution to consistently deliver global KPIs and service levels
  • Build execution bench strength to support scale and transition

 

Process Excellence, Transformation & Automation

  • Drive process standardization, simplification, and efficiency across execution activities
  • Lead or support global transition and transformation initiatives within GTE
  • Champion adoption of digital platforms and tools such as Covantis, Sedna, Global Share, and automation/AI solutions
  • Identify and deliver lean efficiency and costsaving initiatives within execution"

Technical

  • Strong knowledge of global trade execution, shipping documentation, LC handling, and settlement processes
  • Solid understanding of GAFTA / NAEGA contracts and agricommodity execution norms
  • Experience managing bulk, breakbulk, and containerized shipments
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and execution judgment
  • Proven people leadership during periods of change
  • High proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office tools

                           

Education & Experience

  • 9–10 years of international trade execution experience
  • 1–2+ years of people management experience
  • Graduation required; MBA / PostGraduation in International Business or Supply Chain preferred

Distinct Advantage

 

  • Exposure to Shared Services / Global Business Services environments
  • Experience handling highvolume, lowlatency trade execution
  • Familiarity with workflow tools, document management, and digital trade platforms
