Overview: The SharePoint System Analyst will be a key technical resource within Bunge's Business Technology organization, focusing on the administration, support, and optimization of our SharePoint environments. This role demonstrates a high level of professionalism, prioritizing the effective functioning and continuous improvement of collaboration and document management solutions. This individual operates independently with general supervision, participating in small to medium-sized projects of moderate complexity, contributing to process improvements, and executing main activities to achieve significant outcomes within the Infrastructure Department. The successful candidate will proactively improve Bunge's outcomes by making data-driven decisions, keeping the customer at the forefront of all they do, and gaining insight into the global strategy. They will collaborate effectively with others, communicate clearly, and take initiative to continually develop themselves, pursuing opportunities to solve problems and take action while maintaining the ability to manage work, even in times of challenge or change.
Essential Functions: Main Accountabilities
- Administer and maintain Bunge's SharePoint environments (on-premises and/or SharePoint Online), ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for SharePoint users and site owners, resolving complex issues related to site functionality, permissions, workflows, and content management.
- Implement and configure SharePoint features, sites, libraries, lists, and permissions based on business requirements and best practices.
- Contribute to process improvements within the SharePoint governance framework, analyzing existing procedures and recommending efficiencies and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of routine SharePoint administrative tasks and reporting.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement new SharePoint sites, workflows, and custom applications.
- Ensure SharePoint environments adhere to company policies, security standards, and compliance regulations.
- Participate in small to medium-sized projects of moderate complexity related to SharePoint upgrades, migrations, and integration with other enterprise systems.
Impact/Dimensions: This role applies in-depth knowledge of SharePoint and related collaboration technologies, along with a basic understanding of other IT disciplines, to adapt departmental plans and recommend solutions and best practices. The contributions of this role directly enhance the functionality, efficiency, and security of information sharing and collaboration platforms across the organization, impacting internal communication and productivity.

- SharePoint environment uptime and performance metrics.
- Resolution time and user satisfaction for SharePoint support tickets.
- Successful implementation of new SharePoint features and solutions.
- Adherence to SharePoint governance and security policies.
- Contribution to the automation of SharePoint administration tasks.
Major Opportunities and Decisions: This position involves performing a variety of complex tasks and applying best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve SharePoint-related processes and services. It requires analyzing and solving difficult, non-routine problems, often taking a new perspective on existing solutions, and continuously building knowledge of the organization's needs and customer requirements to enhance collaboration capabilities. Decisions often involve optimizing site architecture, troubleshooting complex permission issues, and recommending suitable SharePoint features for specific business challenges.
Management/Leadership: This role works independently with general supervision and may provide daily guidance or direction to support staff or less experienced team members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively and contribute to the overall goals of the Infrastructure Department.
Key Relationships, Stakeholders & Interfaces (External & Internal):
- Internal: End-users across all business functions, IT Infrastructure teams, Application Development teams, Information Security, Business Relationship Managers, and SharePoint site owners.
- External: Microsoft support, SharePoint solution vendors, and industry user groups.
Knowledge and Technical Competencies:
- Strong expertise in SharePoint administration, configuration, and troubleshooting (SharePoint Online and/or on-premises).
- Proficiency with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, and PowerShell for SharePoint management.
- Familiarity with SharePoint security models, governance best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for SharePoint customization.
- Experience with SharePoint migration tools and strategies.
- Knowledge of integration points between SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 services (e.g., Teams, OneDrive).
- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and end-user support.
Minimum Requirements, Education/Experience: Typically a Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of position-related experience in SharePoint administration, support, or development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience level.
