Associate Manager will be responsible for full operational control and end-to-end contract entry and issuance activities. He is responsible for People management encompassing the end-to-end processes of talent acquisition, talent optimization, and talent retention while providing continued support for the business and guidance for the employees of an organization . Able to champion the work load distribution to efficiently deliver the Global KPI’s of Trade Contract. This role requires end to end visibility of Commodity value chains to holistically define/change the operation model as and when required. 


Main Accountabilities (List 6-8 major areas of responsibilities in order of importance, and purpose of these activities:

•    Support and share insight on the Budget planning.
•    Monitor Daily contract entry and issuance meet Global KPIs, across all value chains on a daily basis.
•    Ensure global projects like CLM, DocuSign and SENDA are successfully managed, rolled out and implemented in the team.
•    Ability to impart domain knowledge to the team to build a pool of subject matter experts (SMEs). 
•    Handle and resolve critical issues and propose solutions.
•    Provide support in process transitions and work on process stabilization, have well defined control process, SOPs and KPIs.
•    Lead and provide guidance to the team to effectively communicate and handle all day-to-day operational related activities with various stakeholders.
•    Handle succession planning, identify training needs and work on resource development to build a self-reliant and efficient team.
•    Liaison with legal and compliance on critical issues that require special attention/exceptions and ensure timely resolution. 
•    Accountable for tracking performance and driving best in class KPIs.
•    Review of third party issued contracts to ensure Bunge risk is well covered.
•    Ensure document retention in accordance with Company’s policies and procedure requirements.
•    Perform Month End Checks for Team and ensure accounting queries are resolved within the agreed deadline 
•    Work in coherence to achieve self and team goals.

Additional responsibilities:

•    Preparing monthly reports and scorecards.
•    Manage work allocation and leaves plan of the team.   
•    Ensure Control mechanism, compliance checks are always in place.
•    Ensuring SOX and other statutory requirements are met and clean audit reports. 
•    Ensuring close coordination with team to have smooth closure of month end activities.
•    Identify and propose ways of process improvement as per Industry leading practices.
•    Help in designing of the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool as per Organization requirement.
•    Manage change in CLM and ensure new changes are implemented.
•    Lead User Accessibility Testing (UAT).
•    Handle exceptions generated, perform root cause analysis to resolve current issues and act proactively to avert potential issues in future
•    Provide guidance and support to the team, knowledge sharing and best practices for talent optimization and retention.

Impact/Dimensions (Describe the strategic impact of the role / Using dollars and/or numbers, list the pertinent statistics of the position which clarify major areas of impact.  Examples are: # of employees supervised, annual budget, annual sales/revenue):

•    Responsible for ensuring best in class KPIs for +45,000 transactions in SAP and +7000 Agri contracts issued annually and for improving the overall contract life cycle across all value chains.
•    Manage & Ensure Timely delivery on the Audit/Sox Queries for Bunge .
•    Identify & Generate Lean ideas in the Trade Contract Process to make it efficient.
•    Ensure to deliver Operational Cost Saving of around 25k USD annually through FTE savings, process improvement, automation & efficiency . 


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (Measurable outcomes that the position contributes to):

•    Target to achieve 99% TAT and 98% accuracy for Contract entry (Purchase /Sales) in SAP 
•    Ensure timeline for Contract drafting and signing within 1 working day, maintaining 100% accuracy. 
•    Overall Timeline contract issuance (from the date of receipt of Biz com to sending the signed copy to the Counterpart). Baseline for best in Class TAT is 3 working days.
•    Deliver efficiency of around 10 % in the process flow by continuous improvement and eliminating unproductive methodology.

Management/Leadership (Describe the level of management and leadership skills required for the role. Identify key specialties, technical and knowledge areas necessary to accomplish responsibilities and desired results):

This is a people manager role. Requiring good leadership skills, not only to manage work but also requires resource building for sustainable development and growth of the process. Domain knowledge and understanding of end to end process technicalities and criticalities is a must, with good understanding of contract rules, GAFTA, FOSFA etc.
One should be able to comprehend the Business requirement and work towards it to  develop BBS as “Partner of Choice” for Global Stakeholders.

Key Relationships, Stakeholders & Interfaces (External & Internal):

This is a role that interacts with trading, legal, execution, controlling, accounting, finance, tech Support teams like IT, EDM and SAP team across regions Bunge servers along with interaction externally with Vendors, Customers and brokers.

Knowledge and Technical Competencies (Identify knowledge and specific technical competencies to accomplish the desired end results.  Some examples are licenses & certifications and knowledge and abilities):

•    Relevant experience in handling entry and issuance of commodity contracts for bulk and container shipments of Agri-commodities, with good knowledge of GAFTA, FOSFA contracts’ rules.
•    Good knowledge of concepts and procedures related to contract life cycle of commodity contracts and execution, related terms & guidelines, including expertise in Incoterms, logistics and shipping documents.
•    Ability to work independently, efficiently and deliver high quality output under time pressure
•    Experience in managing people and processes through a sustained period of change
•    Strong written & oral communications skills in English. Knowledge of any other foreign languages will be an added advantage
•    Computer proficient and competency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
•    Experience in working with SAP system.

Education/Experience (Identify types and length of education and experience needed to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to accomplish the desired end results.  Some examples are education & training, and years of experience):
•    5-7  years of work experience in a similar role or with International Commodity company.
•    Minimum Education Qualification – Graduation, Post-graduation or MBA in International Business would be an advantage.
•    Relevant experience in handling commodity contracts with good knowledge of GAFTA, FOSFA contract rules is desirable.
