What will you be doing as a Credit Risk Analyst with Spanish

 

The role is responsible for assessing and monitoring credit and counterparty risks arising from commercial operations by providing independent and objective analysis, monitoring and contributing to the implementation of any structural changes the credit risk in the allocated areas.

 

This should be completed through the following activities:

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Acts as main support for Credit & Counterparty Risk Analyst for Spain office (and other offices) and participate to their local functional meetings; proactively monitors the daily reports of this office;
  • Manages counterparty risk analysis in accordance with Bunge policies, including: performing KYC checks and minimum due diligence, assigning credit grades, approving limits and minimum payment terms within delegated authority, escalating the exceptions;
  • Focus on key counterparties analysis, monitoring and reporting (storage suppliers, key accounts customers, counterparties with high exposure, risky partners, groups);
  • Performs daily checks and monitoring on the new contracts for identifying if there are cases outside of credit approval, by raising them to the teams for correcting the exceptions;
  • Maintenance of counterparty information (grades, limits, approvals, payment terms etc.) in SAP, DELTA, local files and monitors counterparty analysis renewal dates;
  • Keeping the relationship with the insurance company related insurance coverage and for the insurance cost;

 

What you can bring to the role:

  • Mininum 3-5 years experience in Credit Risk; agricultural commodity experience - an advantage;
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Understanding of credit risk principles and counterparty analysis;
  • Knowledge of commodity trading, futures and physical trading, hedging strategies, and market risk is an advantage;
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems;
  • Fluent English is required; Spanish - good command (min B2);
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to build strong partnerships across teams and functions;
