What will you be doing as a Manager Operations Technology & Automation 

Role Purpose Statement

The purpose of this role is to lead Operational Technology (OT) and Automation for a defined subregion within Bunge Europe, ensuring that site infrastructure and system architectures align with industry best practices and Bunge standards, comply with corporate cybersecurity policies, and enable scalable Industry 4.0 capabilities, including edge-to-cloud connectivity and advanced digital use cases.

Key Responsibilities 
 

• Develop strong relationships with plant stakeholders and lead 5-year OT & Automation roadmaps, ensuring control system lifecycle management, modernization, and alignment with regional and corporate standards.
• Plan, design, and execute the OT & Automation scope of capital projects, partnering with corporate project managers on large-scale investments and coordinating with system integrators when required.
• Maintain, optimize, and standardize industrial control systems, including PLC, DCS, and SCADA environments, while driving governance, cybersecurity compliance, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to improve safety, reliability, operational efficiency, and cost performance through automation solutions.
• Manage project specifications, budgets, timelines, vendor relationships, and performance reporting, ensuring consistent execution and compliance with company standards.

What you can bring to the role:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting operational assets within industrial manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience planning, coordinating, and executing pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities.
• At least 5 years of cross-functional collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
• Experience in industrial sectors such as oilseeds processing, grain handling, milling, chemical processing, or similar manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Operational Technology (OT), industrial networking, industrial computing, and automation systems.
• Experience with PLC, DCS, SCADA systems, control system architecture, and industrial cybersecurity best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage external vendors, system integrators, and multiple stakeholders in complex project environments.
• Strong English language skills;
• Availability to travel up to 50% of the time, depending on business requirements and location needs.
