This role will manage tanker freight aspects of Bunge’s regional palm and vegetable oil business in Asia interacting with oils trading teams. The main responsibilities are internal pricing on liquid regional freight and support Bunge’s long haul freight program for palm oil and bio fuel.

 

Main Accountabilities:

 

  • Provide full chartering support, fixing regional tonnage for Singapore based palm and vegetable oil trades
  • Assist Bunge’s chartering efforts for palm an bio fuel vessels originating in Asia to NW Europe, Med and USA
  • Collaborating closely with our in-house palm oil, soyabean oil and bio fuel traders, tanker freight team and execution team
  • Monitor and analyse freight markets and provide market intelligence in terms of market fixtures, competitors activities and vessel lineups to both freight product line and oils trading research department
  • Provide input and local insight into Bunge’s global tanker freight strategy and overall risk position to help develop a sustainable, profitable business
  • Follow Bunge freight processes including contract management in IMOS and overseeing execution and operations workflows
  • Supporting voyage planning and commercial optimization with operations.
  • Manage POLO and logistic tasks

 

Education/Experience:

 

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in tanker chartering and operations ideally in palm oils, chemical tanker (12k-37k dwt) and MR product tanker (40k-50k dwt) segments
  • Strong operational background with deep understanding of the shipping industry
  • Proven track record of fixing voyage charters with strong commercial acumen
  • Prior experience in CoA management preferable
  • Proficiency in IMOS/Veson and SEDNA or similar platforms
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Team player qualities required
