A Day In the Life:
The Demand Planner develops accurate demand forecasts to optimize inventory flows and support business goals. This role drives data-based decisions, keeps the customer central to planning, and aligns forecasts with global strategy. Key responsibilities include forecasting, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

 


What You'll Be Doing:
•    Build and maintain demand forecasts for assigned products/regions using statistical models, market/commercial insights, and historical data.
•    Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and align plans.
•    Translate forecasting insights into financial / business plan and insights.
•    Track forecast accuracy, investigate variances, and implement actions to improve performance.
•    Support small-to-medium projects to improve forecasting methods, tools, and supply chain efficiency.
•    Execute core demand planning cycle activities and provide timely, accurate inputs to production and inventory planning.
•    Drive process improvements by applying best practices and business knowledge.
•    Solve complex, non-routine issues and recommend improved approaches.
•    Provide day-to-day guidance to team members.

 


Skills/Experience Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related field.
•    3+ years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
•    Agribusiness or food industry experience preferred.
•    APICS CPIM/CSCP (or similar) preferred.
•    Strong knowledge of demand planning, statistical forecasting, and inventory management.
•    Proficient with demand planning tools (e.g., SAP APO, Kinaxis, o9) and analytics (Excel, Power BI).
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to turn data into actionable insights.
•    Understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and dependencies.
•    Clear communicator who collaborates effectively across functions.
•    Customer-focused and proactive in identifying and resolving issues.
