A Day in the Life:
The Director of Cyber Security Engineering and Automation provides leadership and direction to multiple teams responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions across Bunge's global IT infrastructure, including on-premises and cloud environments. This role focuses on leveraging automation to enhance security operations, improve efficiency, and reduce risk. The Director is responsible for establishing and implementing short- to mid-term (1-3 years) strategies within the Cyber Security function, contributing to strategic change across functions, and impacting Bunge on a domestic and international scale. This requires expertise in security architecture, cloud security, and automation, combined with a broad knowledge of other IT disciplines. The Director is recognized as an expert within the organization and contributes to policies and strategies related to Bunge's security posture. 

 

What You'll Be Doing:
Lead and mentor a global team of security engineers and automation specialists. 
Develop and implement secure cloud architectures and automation frameworks, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. 
Design and implement automated security solutions for vulnerability management, threat detection, incident response, and security monitoring across cloud and on-premises environments. 
Evaluate and select security technologies and tools, focusing on automation and cloud security capabilities. 
Collaborate with other IT teams, including cloud operations, infrastructure, and application development, to integrate security solutions and automation into existing workflows and development pipelines. 
Develop and manage the budget for security engineering and automation initiatives. 
Stay current on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies, adapting strategies and solutions as needed. 
Provide regular reporting and metrics on security posture and automation effectiveness to senior management. 

 

Skills/Experience Requirements:
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, along with 15+ years of experience in IT Security, with a strong focus on security engineering, automation, and cloud security. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CCSK) are highly desirable. 
Deep understanding of cyber security principles, cloud security best practices, and automation technologies. 
Expertise in security automation tools and technologies (e.g., SOAR, SIEM, EDR, CASB). 
Strong scripting and programming skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Terraform, CloudFormation). 
Experience with cloud security platforms and services (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, GCP Security Command Center). 
Knowledge of security standards and regulations relevant to cloud environments (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CSA CCM).
