The Bunge Trainee program is an 18-months rotational program through areas of focus to develop knowledge of specific functions.  Focus areas will be determined based on the candidate’s education, experience, and interest. The program entails: 

• Structured learning goals, combining soft skills training, hands-on projects, and Bunge knowledge.  

• Comprehensive understanding of our business through assignments with specific goals and deliverables.  

• Networking opportunities with our leaders. 

Focus Area Overview 

This specific trainee role will be focused on Finance – Food Solutions. 

Our Food Solutions business was created to expand customer and product portfolio in the infant, sports, and medical nutrition industries. Food Solutions is one of the three strategic growth platforms at Bunge. 

Our business unit provides oils and lipid solutions to nutrition product manufacturers in APAC, Europe, and North America, and our ingredients are found in premium infant formulas in the Chinese and European markets, and in enteral medical nutrition products in North America. 

As the Food Solutions Financial Trainee, you will play an important role in this exciting business through strategic and financial analysis.  This position is responsible for generating insights that helps the business identify potential improvement areas and making data driven decisions. This role will support existing business financial analysis and business cases of supporting growth in the Food Solutions business. 

Education  

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university. 

Skills and Experience 

• 0-1 year of experience; prior internship experience strongly preferred 

• Must be collaborative, results oriented and possess exceptional critical thinking skills        

• Exceptional verbal, written and listening communication skills 

• Analytical problem-solving skills with a high level of curiosity to learn and adapt to changing priorities 

• Strong excel knowledge desirable 

• Proficiency in standard PC applications  

• Willingness to relocate domestically and/or internationally for future growth opportunities 

• Proficiency in other languages beneficial 

Core Functions & Responsibilities: 

A project with our group will include one or multiple of the following activities: 

• Prepare and analyze KPI’s and metrics to track the Food Solutions business performance and strategic initiatives 

• Issue monthly BU financial performance review 

• Aid in research and perform corporate financial analysis of potential M&A targets, competitors, and customers 

• Aid in strategic pricing and cost analyses globally, identify trends, and generate insights for optimization 

• Assist in annual BU's Strategic Planning, Budgeting, monthly forecasting and bridging to final results 

• Support strategic projects for Food Solutions globally, through participating, as available, in the development of strategic business cases, valuation modeling (DCF), and articulating the rationale and potential earnings of the projects 

• Support the Commercial Leaders with activities related to key projects for the BU 

• Assists in developing project documentation to engage stakeholders in discussion and for the required stage gates & approvals
