A Day In The Life:
The Sr. Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for optimizing grain and crush assets as it relates to port logistics and vessel operations in the North America. By performing duties associated with capacity planning, terminal performance, transportation coordination (barge, vessel, rail, etc.) for multiple commodity supply chains, the Sr. Supply Chain Analyst will align sales, load schedules, and supplies to facilitate and govern decisions based on operational efficiency, cost management and risk reduction.  With constant focus on planning, execution, and operations, to ensure optimal results, the Sr. Supply Chain Analyst will work closely with Management playing a lead role in creating plans and analyzing and reporting data related to the day-to-day activities of vessel loading to ensure timely and optimal decisions are executed. Additionally, this role will support all documentation processes for contracts and other trade related activities, including accurate and timely data and systems management. The Sr. Logistics Analyst will assist in managing and mentoring other roles and will work close with leadership to recommend changes and navigate through obstacles. Using metrics to support alignment across Bunge’s value chains, the Sr. Supply Chain Analyst will be expected to provide information and feedback to drive a high performing team.
 


This is a cross‐functional role to the organization that interfaces with multiple internal regional and global teams and external groups. The Sr. Supply Chain Analyst will be required to collaborate with Commercial, Logistics, Operations, and Trade Execution. This position is also responsible for maintaining relationships and communicating effectively with these groups along with others including Accounting, Legal, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Information Technology.
 

 

What You'll Be Doing:
•    Create and execute terminal load schedules and capacity plans by analyzing financial drivers, contract specifications, operational abilities, vessel availability, and supply readiness
•    Develop and align multiple inputs to execute a multi-commodity export program
•    Manage data and conduct complex and in-dept analysis to assist in developing trade strategies, resolve issues, and preserve margins
•    Identify gaps and/or opportunities within the program that improve income, reduce costs, and optimize plant operations
•    Perform duties associated with vessel laytime to ensure calculations and accruals are correct and correspond with events as recorded on official vessel statement of facts
•    Work with management to drive improvement in North America and Global KPI metrics
•    Lead projects that vary in complexity to improve, enhance, or upgrade facilities, systems, and processes in support of “best in class” asset and supply chain management
•    Lead resolution process for any discrepancies or claims as it relates to customer service (internal/external), export flows, vessel executions
•    Provide oversight and guidance with national and international trade rules and corresponding documents to export terminals, commercial groups, documentation, and customers
•    Input, maintain, and distribute information, data, and reporting in appropriate systems
•    Monitor and ensure appropriate communication and information flow with internal and 3rd party customers, logistics groups, service providers, and vessel agencies
•    Facilitate daily/weekly/monthly discussions on terminal performance, vessel executions, issue/conflict resolution, and results reporting as needed
•    Support business agreements and synergy between groups within North America and Globally
•    Provide training and systems support to other users of tools and processes
•    Serve as back up for other roles

 

 

Skills/Experience Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Business, Finance, Supply Chain or an applicable related field
•    5-7 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, agriculture or related field
•    Strong analytical, methodical, logical approach to problem solving, and innovative approaches to business and technical challenges
•    Display a structured and self-disciplined approach to working - able to work on own initiative with ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility
•    Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, with the ability to prioritize conflicting activities, raising roadblocks early
•    Willingness to lead, and develop expertise and/or become subject matter expert
•    Exhibits sound business judgment and sees developing strong business and technical relationships as a key to success
•    Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence others
•    Able to work in a fast-paced environment to efficiently synthetize and filter inputs from multiple
•    Demonstrates continuous learning to expand and build on skill sets
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with advanced Excel skills preferred
•    Experience working with SAP and web-based programs
•    Excellent customer service and negotiation skills
•    Ability to work in cross – functional environment
•    Knowledge of NGFA, NAEGA and GAFTA contract practices preferred
•    Industry relevant business process experience with commodity trading, barge transport and vessel industry practices preferred
 


Ability to travel 5 – 10% of time
