A Day In The Life:
In partnership with America's growers, Bunge Mexico is the vital link that connects food producers, manufacturers and consumers worldwide. This role supports compliance activities throughout US, Canada, and Mexico. Responsible for timely and accurate support of customs compliance processes including but not limited to recordkeeping, COFEPRIS permit application, auditing, support of product databases, free trade agreements, certificates of origin, certificates of free sale, import entry processing support, and serve as front line compliance contact for internal and external partners. The analyst will need experience in customs compliance processes, documentation requirements, and international trade regulatory requirements of agencies including National Customs Agency of Mexico and be able to support Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA), US Customs and Border Protection (USCBP), and US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA), etc activities.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Subject manner expert in National Customs Agency of Mexico activities
• Assist with US and Canadian import/export inquires and transactions in day-to-day operations.
• Submit Manifest Valuation through Pedimento Empresarial
• Submit permits through COFEPRIS
• Support customs compliance import and export audit and corrective action activities
• Support North American Customs Compliance automation and digitalization projects.
• Assist with import and export recordkeeping filing per each country’s Record Retention policy.
• Interpret & summarize complex regulatory scenarios, offering guidance to and/or on behalf of business partners Research & analyze complex & changing regulatory framework.
• Self-starter on audit & identification of errors on export and import documents.
• Continually educate the vast array of internal and external partners across the entire business on the procedures and policies of the customs compliance organization.
• Responsible for investigating, and when necessary, assist in implementing resolution for value chain stakeholders’ concerns to ensure timely and compliant execution of compliance responsibilities.
• Extensive understanding and application of Microsoft Excel knowledge to maintain & audit large volumes of data.
• Interpret and understand a multitude of free trade agreement regulations and provide compliant determinations and documentation in support of duty deferred declarations.
• Other duties as assigned.
Skill/Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Fluency in Spanish and English
• At least three years of experience in a related field
• Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and document management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Schedule:
• Normal office hours, five days per week
• Some overtime or weekend duties may be required
• Limited business travel may be required
